Comey transcript released: Ex-FBI boss claims not to know, remember key details in Russia case
Former FBI Director James Comey claimed “I don’t know” or “I don’t remember” in response to dozens of questions concerning key details in the Russia probe, according to a lengthy transcript released Saturday of his closed-door interview with congressional lawmakers.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., published the 235-page transcript as a part of an agreement with Comey.
The former bureau boss frustrated GOP lawmakers during Friday’s session, in large part because his lawyers urged him not to answer numerous questions. Comey is expected to return later in the month for another round, though blasted Republicans on his way out for what he called a “desperate attempt to find anything that can be used to attack the institutions of justice investigating this president.”
But while Comey insisted in the interview that “we never investigated the Trump campaign for political purposes,” the transcript shows he claimed ignorance or memory lapses in response to questions concerning key details and events in the Russia investigation, which some GOP lawmakers continue to claim was improperly conducted.
The transcript reveals lawmakers’ frustration with his lack of specifics.
Asked if he recalled who drafted the FBI’s “initiation document” for the July 2016 Russia investigation, Comey said, “I do not.” He again claimed not to know when asked about the involvement in that initiation of Peter Strzok, whose anti-Trump texts later got him removed from the special counsel’s probe.
When asked if the FBI had any evidence that anyone in the Trump campaign conspired to hack the DNC server, Comey gave a lengthy answer referring to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation as to why he couldn’t answer.
“Did we have evidence in July of (2016) that anyone in the Trump campaign conspired to hack the DNC server?” Comey asked rhetorically. “I don't think that the FBI and special counsel want me answering questions that may relate to their investigation of Russian interference during 2016. And I worry that that would cross that line.”
“I don't think that the FBI and special counsel want me answering questions that may relate to their investigation of Russian interference during 2016. And I worry that that would cross that line,”
— Former FBI Director James Comey
When pressed further by Gowdy about what “factual predicate” the bureau had to launch a counterintelligence investigation, Comey again claimed that answering that question would be a “slope” that would ask him to reveal what the FBI “did or didn’t know about Russia activity” as it related to the 2016 election.
“You can't tell us, or you won't tell us?” Gowdy asks.
“Probably a combination of both ... To the extent I recall facts developed during our investigation of Russian interference and the potential connection of Americans, I think that's a question that the FBI doesn't want me answering. So it's both a can't and a won't,” Comey replied.
The former FBI director went on to say that anything related to Mueller’s investigation, to his understanding, would be “off limits" as it is an ongoing investigation.
Comey was also fuzzy on the eventual Democratic funding of the research that went into the controversial and unverified anti-Trump dossier.
Gaetz describes Comey's testimony as 'selective amnesia'
House Judiciary Committee member Rep. Matt Gaetz weighs in on former FBI director James Comey's closed-door testimony.
Asked when he learned that the firm behind the dossier, Fusion GPS, was hired by law firm Perkins Coie – and when he learned that law firm was hired by the Democratic National Committee – Comey said “I never learned that” while director.
Comey also claimed not to know key details surrounding the involvement of Christopher Steele, the former British spy who authored the dossier.
Asked when Steele was “terminated” as an FBI source, Comey said he didn’t know.
Asked about Steele’s subsequent contact with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, Comey said, “I don’t know anything about that.”
The Comey appearance comes as Republicans try to probe deeper into the FBI’s handling of both the Russia case and Hillary Clinton email investigation, before Democrats take control of the House in January and likely shut down these lines of inquiry.
Comey was asked numerous questions as well about the handling of the Clinton case, acknowledging at times that certain aspects of it were “unusual” while defending other actions.
Comey initially challenged the subpoena to appear before the committees and instead pressed for a public hearing out of concern his comments would be selectively leaked and taken out of context. He eventually agreed to appear, with an arrangement for the transcript to be made public.

Don Jr Uses Old Trump Photo To Hammer Ocasio-Cortez’s Socialist Agenda

Donald Trump Jr. shared a meme on Instagram slamming Democratic Representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her socialist agenda.
Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described democratic socialist, has plans to push costly socialist programs in the House.
She is a strong proponent of a costly single-payer healthcare model and wants to pay for it with harsh tax increases.
Ocasio-Cortez proposed raising the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent, which is significantly higher than much of the developed world, including Canada, Sweden and Denmark.
Trump Jr. poked fun at her ridiculous economic policies with a meme on Instagram.
The image featured Ocasio-Cortez with the caption “Why are you so afraid of a socialist economy?” Beneath Ocasio-Cortez is an image of President Donald Trump with a caption saying “Because Americans want to walk their dogs, not eat them.”
Trump Jr. has over 1.5 million Instagram followers and the meme was liked over 70,000 times.
The image seemed to be in reference to the negative consequences of Venezuela’s disastrous socialist policies, which has destroyed businesses and left its citizens starving.
Some of Venezuela’s starving citizens have even resorted to eating dogs, cats, and other animals, according to a 2016 report by USA Today.
“People are hunting dogs and cats in the streets, and pigeons in the plazas to eat,” Ramon Muchacho, former mayor of the Caracas district of Chacao, said at the time.
Of course, Ocasio-Cortez didn’t respond directly to Trump Jr.’s jab at her socialist policies. Instead, she threatened Trump Jr. with a subpoena.
“I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Twitter. “Please, keep it coming Jr – it’s definitely a ‘very, very large brain’ idea to troll a member of a body that will have subpoena power in a month.”

That’s quite a socialist response from Ocasio-Cortez. Instead of attempting to engage in a political discourse, she would rather threaten her political opponents in the same vein as Venezuela’s ruling socialist party.
It’s sad to see the Democratic Party succumb to socialism.
This Was George HW Bush’s Greatest Achievement

This Was George HW Bush’s Greatest Achievement
By Paul G. Kengor
Numerous tributes to George H. W. Bush this week hailed his crucial role in helping to peacefully close the Cold War and turn out the lights on the USSR. It was the pivotal event of the close of the last century.
As a sign of how much things have changed, I was contacted shortly after Bush’s death by a reporter from Pravda — the longtime mouthpiece of the Soviet empire. The mere fact that Pravda would request my assessment is a striking indicator that the Cold War has long been mercifully consigned to the dustbin of history. In the old days, Pravda would have accused me of “pathological and lunatic anti-communism,” a charge the Kremlin actually leveled against courageous dissidents like Vladimir Bukovsky and Zhores Medvedev. They were literally sent to insane asylums.
But today, well, these are better days.
Without hesitation, I told the Pravda reporter that Bush is one of the unsung heroes of the end of the Cold War. His single greatest achievement, and perhaps the primary reason for him having been president, was to be there at that critical juncture from 1989-91 when the USSR faded into what eventually became Russia. He was the ideal man for the job after Ronald Reagan left the presidency in January 1989. His foreign-policy experience, credentials, and wisdom were essential for the international task at hand. Both Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin were thankful that Bush was at the helm during that chaotic period that had the potential to not end peacefully.
Of course, that’s no unique insight by me. Many have commented on this crucial function that Bush played. I’ve heard no commentator, however, mention maybe the most poignant Bush moment in the end of the USSR. Maybe that’s because it was witnessed by no one, and only those of us in the strange habit of reading Soviet memoirs would know about it.
The date was Christmas Day 1991. Mikhail Gorbachev called President Bush to say: “You can have a very quiet Christmas evening. I am saying good-bye and shaking your hand.”
That evening, Gorbachev went on television to announce he was leaving his post. By resigning as head of the USSR that Christmas Day, Gorbachev also resigned the USSR and provided the time of death of the communist empire. He was the last thread holding the tattered mess together.
The symbolism of Gorbachev’s resignation on that special day was rich: The Bolshevik dictatorship, born in October 1917, which declared war on Christians and other believers, was buried on the day the world celebrates the birth of Christ.
Bush was the man who took the call. He took it with grace and (a favorite word of Bush) with prudence (a virtue). He refused to dance on the Soviet grave. Not only was it the gracious thing to do but also the politically smart thing to do. He did not want to antagonize communist forces still at work in Soviet society. Indeed, those forces had attempted a coup of Gorbachev only four months earlier, and the Communist Party would remain the largest party in the Duma throughout the 1990s. Bush played it smart.
In the end, if history remembers George H. W. Bush for only one thing, it needs to be this. It was his greatest achievement.

Clinton Foundation CFO: ‘I know where all the bodies are buried’
Clinton Foundation CFO: ‘I know where all the bodies are buried’
by Jerry McCormick
A meeting between an investigator and a high-ranking Clinton official may have just turned the tide against Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Andrew Kessel, the CFO of the Clinton Foundation, stunned an MDA Analytics investigator, reportedly stating, “I know where all the bodies are buried in this place.” The “bodies” to which Kessel was referring are apparently the evidence of unscrupulous accounting and spending by the Clinton Foundation.
Kessel’s statement was recorded in a memo from an interview in November 2016, a memo which is part of hundreds of pages of evidence collected by MDA Analytics LLC, reports the Hill’s John Solomon.
Taking Down the Clintons
MDA says it was created for one purpose and one purpose only… to investigate the wrongdoings of charities like the Clinton Foundation.
The idea is that if wrongdoing was found, MDA would be rewarded with a portion of any tax dollars recovered by the government against the Clinton Foundation.
Without knowing the foundation was under investigation, Kessel had sat down with someone he believed was trying to work with the foundation.
Kessel allegedly made some incriminating statements about the foundation, specifically the out of control spending habits of Bill Clinton.
According to the report, Bill regularly spent Clinton Foundation funds as though they were his own, combining personal and professional expenses.
According to an MDA memo, Solomon reports, Kessel allegedly said, “There is no controlling Bill Clinton. He does whatever he wants and runs up incredible expenses with foundation funds.”
Denials
The Clinton Foundation is already trying to cover its tracks.
It is claiming Kessel was misled and that he never actually made the statements MDA is claiming he made.
A foundation spokesperson stated, “Mr. Kessel believed he was meeting an old professional acquaintance who was looking for business from the foundation.”
The denial is holding little water right now, though, as there are other facts to back up the alleged statements made to MDA.
In 2008, the Clinton Foundation actually conducted an internal investigation which also happened to uncover the same practices described by Kessel to the MDA investigator.
The attorney hired to conduct the investigation, Kumiki Gibson, expressed concerns over the same commingling of personal and foundation expenses by the Clintons.
This report does not bode well at all for Bill and Hillary.
Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, Bill Barr, seems like someone who might be willing to investigate the Clintons.
And a House committee is preparing for a hearing next week to look into the Clinton Foundation’s shady financial practices and allegations of quid-pro-quo against Hillary Clinton.
Could this finally be the beginning of the end for the most corrupt couple in our country’s history?

Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently gave an interview where he was extremely critical of the president. Even going so far as to call President Trump incapable.
According to The Daily Wire:
Fox News host Tucker Carlson ripped President Donald Trump in a shocking interview earlier this week with a foreign magazine, saying he does not believe Trump is "capable."
In an interview on Tuesday with Die Weltwoche, a Swiss weekly magazine, Carlson told Urs Gehriger at his Fox News office in Washington, D.C. that Trump has not kept his promises and has not achieved his goals.
"His chief promises were that he would build the wall, de-fund planned parenthood, and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn't done any of those things," Carlson said. "I don't think he's capable. I don't think he's capable of sustained focus. I don't think he understands the system. I don't think the Congress is on his side. I don't think his own agencies support him."
Carlson said that he does not believe Trump is the type of president that makes a promise and then has the ability to hunker down and see it through to completion.
Carlson went on to state that he doesn't think President Trump has accomplished much. Carlson attributed Trump's lack of knowledge of how the system works as the main reason for this.

Gaystapo Targets Heisman Trophy Winner Kyler Murray for ‘Homophobic’ Tweets When He was 15-Years-Old

Only hours after Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray won the Heisman Trophy, he was dogged by rediscovered homophobic tweets he posted when he was a 15-year-old kid.
Murray, now 21, accepted the trophy on Saturday night after beating out Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa for the honor. But only hours later, Murray’s teenaged tweets resurfacedforcing him to apologize for the six-year-old social media posts, USA Today reported.
Four tweets containing anti-gay slurs were found on a Twitter account he used as a teenager, according to reports. The tweets were quickly deleted, and the player apologized for them.
In the re-discovered tweets, Murray made liberal use of the word “queer” to smear several others on Twitter.
In a Sunday morning statement, Murray said the “poor choice of word” as a 15-year-old kid doesn’t “reflect who I am or what I believe. I did not intend to single out any individual or group.”

I apologize for the tweets that have come to light tonight from when I was 14 and 15. I used a poor choice of word that doesn’t reflect who I am or what I believe. I did not intend to single out any individual or group.
3:11 AM - Dec 9, 2018
The Oklahoma athletics department has not issued any statement on the tweets.
Murray is not the first player to have off-color tweets made as a teen mar a recent accomplishment. During this year’s All-Star Game, Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Josh Hader was confronted with racist tweets he made when he was a teen.
A similar incident befell Villanova guard Donte DiVincenzo this year on the night of the NCAA championship game when the player’s teenaged social media posts containing the n-word came back to haunt him.
In yet another incident, just ahead of the 2018 NFL Draft, quarterback Josh Allen was bedeviled by racist tweets he made as a teenager. Allen was still with the University of Wyoming when the tweets resurfaced and the notoriety complicated his bid to launch a pro football career.

BOOM! Here’s the STAGGERING amount of cash Beto O’Rourke flushed down the toilet in LOSS to Ted Cruz!
BY SOOPERMEXICAN
Some people are gearing up in anticipation for Beto 2020, but it must give them some pause that the final tally brings Beto’s campaign spending to a cool $80 MILLION.
From the Texas Tribune:
U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-El Paso, ultimately raised over $80 million in his unsuccessful bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas — and he left little in his campaign coffers when it was all done.
That’s according to a post-election filing Thursday with the Federal Election Commission that covers Oct. 18 through Nov. 26, or about the three weeks before the election and three weeks after it. The report shows O’Rourke raised $10.1 million during the period, spent $20 million and left $477,000 in the bank, a relatively small balance for what had become an eight-figure operation.
AND… the TedNado spent less than half of that to cruise into victory:
The $10.1 million haul brought O’Rourke’s total raised for the election to $80.3 million — another staggering figure in a campaign full of them. Cruz’s final tally was less than half that — $38.9 million — and came through his campaign as well as two affiliated groups.
WOW! LOL!! I think this might be one of the reasons Trump and Cruz have kissed and made up – this Texas campaign sucked up a crapload of cash from other Senate races for the Democrats, and all for absolutely nothing. And Trump has the Cruznado to thank for that.
One of the better aspects of Beto’s loss is that centrist Dems are in-fighting with left-wing Beto-Dems.
And you all know how much I love dems fighting with dems.
I look forward to Beto 2020 losing a cool billion for Democrats too.
G’ day…Ciao…
