President Trump: Law Enforcement Looking Into ‘Big Corruption Scandal’ With Election Fraud in Florida
Gowdy thumps ‘typical Schumer’ over his Whitaker gripes: ‘Why so few people take him seriously’
Vivek Saxena
When Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell suggested Wednesday that the White House’s replacement of since-resigned Attorney General Jeff Sessions was designed to be used to restrict special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, Trey Gowdy seemed to find it ironic.
“Every prosecutor has jurisdictional boundaries,” he said later that evening on Fox News. “I don’t know a single prosecutor that does not. Mueller’s jurisdictional boundaries were set by Rod Rosenstein in the memo you have seen and they were altered, amended in the memo that we have not seen.”
“But there has never been a prosecutor that just had unfettered power to go investigate whatever the heck he or she wanted to do,” he added, surreptitiously hinting at the irony.
The one exception might be Mueller, who’s been granted near unlimited authority to target President Donald Trump and his current/former staff members for a litany of alleged crimes, most of them entirely unrelated to his ostensible goal of uncovering Russian collusion.

The one exception might be Mueller, who’s been granted near unlimited authority to target President Donald Trump and his current/former staff members for a litany of alleged crimes, most of them entirely unrelated to his ostensible goal of uncovering Russian collusion.
Earlier this year Federal Judge T.S. Ellis III, a Reagan appointee, admonished the special counselor for seeking “unfettered power” — something the founding fathers had fought against.
“What we don’t want in this country is we don’t want anyone with unfettered power, so it’s unlikely you’re going to persuade me that the special prosecutor has unlimited powers to do anything he or she wants,” the judge bluntly said.
Yet Schumer, who clearly worries that Whitaker might abuse his power to restrict Mueller’s “unfettered power,” is one of the special counselor’s biggest fans. The irony is rich, according to Gowdy.
“If you’re a state prosecutor you can’t investigate federal crimes,” his statement on Fox continued. “If you’re in New York, you can’t investigate things in Idaho. So the notion that we are going to create a special counsel that has no boss, no jurisdictional strictures at all is just typical Chuck Schumer and I think it’s why so few people take him seriously.”
Speaking of which, despite being tasked with investigating Russian collusion, earlier this year Mueller forwarded the case of Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen to investigators in New York on charges again completely unrelated to collusion.
While there’s been no recent indication from Whitaker that he intends to rein Mueller in, Schumer’s fears regarding his potential actions stem from remarks the acting attorney general made in the past.
his previous comments advocating defunding and imposing limitations on the Mueller investigation, Mr. Whitaker should recuse himself from its oversight for the duration of his time as acting attorney general.

During a discussion on CNN last year, Whitaker speculated that were Sessions ever replaced, his replacement might reduce Mueller’s budget.
“So I could see a scenario where Jeff Sessions is replaced with a recess appointment, and that attorney general doesn’t fire Bob Mueller, but he just reduces his budget to so low that his investigation grinds to almost a halt,” he said in June of 2017.
But Whitaker had merely been performing the role of his job as an analyst and speculating on what future events might transpire in the Trump administration. And like he duly noted in the video above, the attorney general does in fact carry the authority to reduce Mueller’s budget.
So why is Schumer fretting over what appears to be nothing? Social media users suspect it’s because he’s worried Whitaker will turn on the spotlight on Democrat corruption.

Trump Signs Powerful Order on Illegal Immigration
The democrats have been of no help to the President on border security, likely forcing this hand to be played.
By Andrew West
With the midterm elections all but over, President Trump looks to be returning to the agenda that got him elected…in a big way.
Before all of the hustle and bustle of the 2018 election gave way to the absurd and downright nasty results that we’ve seen, the nation was staring down a massive and mobile situation in Mexico as a horde of up to 14,000 Central American migrants marched north toward Texas. Having already refused offers of asylum from the nation of Mexico, the caravan has insisted that they will attempt to reach the United States before seeking such political advantage.
Now, in order to maintain the peace at the border, President Trump is doing everything in his power to entice these migrants to enter the US legally, even going so far as to revoke asylum rights for those who refuse to follow the rules.
Foreigners who cross the U.S.-Mexico border illegally will no longer be allowed to claim asylum under a new rule meant to crack down on “meritless” claims, the Trump administration announced on Thursday.
Non-Americans hoping to claim asylum must do so at an official border crossing under the rule. All others who simply cross into the United States cannot then claim asylum.
“Consistent with our immigration laws, the President has the broad authority to suspend or restrict the entry of aliens into the United States if he determines it to be in the national interest to do so,” Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said in a joint statement. “Our asylum system is overwhelmed with too many meritless asylum claims from aliens who place a tremendous burden on our resources, preventing us from being able to expeditiously grant asylum to those who truly deserve it. Today, we are using the authority granted to us by Congress to bar aliens who violate a Presidential suspension of entry or other restriction from asylum eligibility.”
The President has repeatedly run into opposition from the democrats in seeking to bolster our border security with a physical barrier, which has likely contributed to his increasingly agitated tone and the use of such extreme measures to ensure US national security.

Who Will Take All of These Ex-Racing Dogs in Florida?
Voters in the Sunshine State overwhelmingly favored far more humane treatment for these working greyhounds
By Christ ShareSixty-nine percent of Florida voters this past Tuesday took the side of man’s best friend and voted to ban greyhound racing in the state by the end of 2020.
Christine A. Dorchak, author of Amendment 13 — named “The Committee to Protect Dogs” — is also president and general counsel for Massachusetts-based GREY2K USA Worldwide.
She told LifeZette in an interview this week, “Amendment 13 is the most important measure ever passed to protect greyhounds at anytime, anywhere, in history.”
She told LifeZette in an interview this week, “Amendment 13 is the most important measure ever passed to protect greyhounds at anytime, anywhere, in history.”
“Florida is the hub of dog racing worldwide,” she also said. “It was the first place to legalize commercial dog racing and it prompted six other countries to follow suit.”
Founded in 2001, GREY2K USA Worldwide is the largest greyhound protection organization in the world. The group, along with many others in the United States, seek to protect greyhounds from cruel and inhumane treatment.
Some of this treatment included and still includes the use of drugs on the animals — as well as confinement, cruelty, neglect, and even the habit of feeding them meat from “downed” animals.
Greyhounds are raced until they’re about two years old.
Many within the industry and the public at large are now questioning where the out-of-work greyhounds will live.
Various news reports have mentioned anywhere from 5,000 to 7,000 dogs that will need to be placed.
“The number is 3,700,” Dorchak told Lifezette.
Several animal protection groups have said that greyhounds can make great pets. The breed is considered “generally docile, lazy, easy-going, and calm,” according to Wikipedia entries.
The muzzle causes the animal to appear aggressive — however, “this is not true.”
Shelley Thayer, executive director of SPCA Florida, told Lifezette in an interview, “Dogs are considered personal property and the dogs were more than likely purchased from breeders. Because they have value, owners will be looking at all their options. But I doubt they will opt to euthanize.”
Will the organizations seeking protection for the animals band together to ensure the safety of all of the unwanted dogs?
Thayer responded, “Organizations throughout Florida, including board members of FAAWO [Florida Association of Animal Welfare Organizations], our state animal welfare organization, have all agreed to take dogs should the need arise.”
She also said that “national organizations such as ASPCA [American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals], BFAS [Best Friends Animal Society] and HSUS [Humane Society of the United States] have all supported the amendment and are watching the situation as it unfolds.”
Dorchak agreed with those comments, saying that the “next 26 months will allow time for the greyhounds to be absorbed by waiting rescue groups across the country.”
“Once the dog owners make their decision,” Thayer also said, “we, too, are standing by to take them in.”
