All Gave Some~Some Gave All
*****
Let the fun begin...
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Fitting, that on the weekend featuring the season’s most alluring collection of marquee matchups the NFL’s “winningest quarterback” faces off against the man many declare as the NFL’s “best quarterback” in the Sunday night showcase.
It’s just the second time that Brady and Rodgers square off (Rodgers 1, Brady 0, Lambeau Field). Maybe the next time it will happen in a Super Bowl. Sure, Brady doesn’t have to personally defend Rodgers as member of the secondary, and vice versa. But it’s head-to-head nonetheless because points add pressure to the other quarterback. With neither of these megastar quarterbacks supported by a dominant defense, it looks like a shootout waiting to happen at Gillette Stadium. And it feels so dramatic, like maybe … last man with the football wins.

Trump encourages adoption: It ‘signals every child – born or unborn – is wanted and loved’

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 2, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – This week, President Donald Trump issued his second annual proclamation for National Adoption Month, hailing both adopting children and placing them for adoption as acts of love that enrich American society.
“Adoption is a blessing for all involved. It provides needed relief to birth parents, who may not, for whatever reason, be in a position to raise a child,” the president said Wednesday. “It fosters loving homes for children. It enables individuals to grow their families and share their love. And it fosters strong families, which are integral to ensuring strong communities and a resilient country.”
“Adoption affirms the inherent value of human life and signals that every child – born or unborn – is wanted and loved,” Trump continued. “Children, regardless of race, sex, age, or disability, deserve a loving embrace into families they can call their own. This month, we honor the thousands of American families who have grown because of adoption.”
The president specifically highlighted adoption’s power to “show women they are not alone in an unexpected pregnancy,” called for continued assistance for families willing to adopt, and pledged support for children in foster care.
“We appeal to families, communities, and houses of worship across our great Nation to help these children find a permanent home,” he said.
“I encourage all Americans to observe this month by helping children in need of a permanent home secure a more promising future with a forever family, so they may enter adulthood with the love and support we all deserve,” Trump concluded.
The address is President Trump’s latest public affirmation of his pro-life stance. During his first two years, he has called on Congress to send him legislation to defund Planned Parenthood and ban late-term abortions; eliminated the Obama-era mandate forcing religious employers to provide abortifacient contraception; protected states’ rights not to fund the abortion industry; partially defunded Planned Parenthood; and appointed numerous conservative judges to federal courts.
Congressional Republicans have also moved to protect religious adoption agencies from losing federal funds if they insist on placing children in homes with both a mother and a father, rather than same-sex households.
“Adoption is a life-changing and life-affirming act that signals that no child in America – born or unborn – is unwanted or unloved,” Trump said last year. “Adoptive parents are a selfless and loving part of God's plan for their future children.”
Tired of Facebook censoring conservatives? Check out these alternatives, or learn to be a good little slave
By Joe Newby
If I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard or seen conservatives pine for a free-speech alternative to Facebook, I could retire a very wealthy man. Recently, as we and others have reported, Facebook — the site appropriately dubbed “Iron FistBook” by cartoonist A.F. Branco — has engaged in what can only be called a digital version of “Kristallnacht,” appearing to target mostly conservatives, punishing them for daring to earn a living through their hard work.
Whenever we report these abuses — and that’s what they are — conservatives wonder when someone is going to create a free speech alternative.
The truth is, there’s already several in operation just waiting for you.
Here’s just a few (with many thanks to our friend Jeff Dunetz, for putting quite a bit of this together):

There are other sites, and we will add them as we find them. If you know of an alternative not listed here, please let us know in the comment section below.
Granted, none of these sites have the reach Facebook has. But think about it — Mark Zuckerberg didn’t start with two billion users.
So what are your choices? You can jump ship, or maybe you’re one of those who love being under Mark Zuckerberg’s thumb. Fine — that’s your choice. Maybe you like being treated like someone out of George Orwell’s “1984.” Perhaps you need someone to tell you what to think, or what you’re allowed to see.
But the choice is yours. You can use more than one social media site, get off Facebook completely, or stay on Facebook exclusively. But if that’s your choice, remember — you’re not a customer, you’re the product.
Worse yet, you’re Facebook’s slave…
And if that’s your choice, don’t complain when you get abused… And trust us, you will.

This is a joke, but could it become a reality on Facebook in the future?
And to be clear, we’d like to see Facebook get squared away, because it is a fantastic tool with great potential. But the current enforcement regime — which more resembles the “Thought Police” — looks more like something out of Orwell’s classic novel. And it doesn’t appear the company is ever going to change for the better.

It has been reported that President Trump is planning to issue sanctions on Iran. But the best part about the new sanctions is the way that President Trump announced them on Twitter.
According to The Daily Caller:
President Donald Trump warned the Islamic Republic of Iran of impending sanctions set to take place on Monday with a meme on his Twitter account Friday afternoon.
Trump’s tweet comes as his administration announced the complete reimposition of all sanctions placed on the regime since the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement was signed by the Obama administration.

Trump’s tweet comes as his administration announced the complete reimposition of all sanctions placed on the regime since the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement was signed by the Obama administration.
Trump pulled the U.S. out of the nuclear agreement in May saying it was ineffective at stopping Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon in the long term and failed to address its pervasive terrorist support throughout the Middle East.
“On November 5th, the United States will reimpose sanctions that were lifted as part of the nuclear deal on Iran’s energy, shipbuilding, shipping, and banking sectors,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters Friday. “These new sanctions will accelerate the highly successful effects of our sanctions that have already occurred. The maximum pressure we imposed has caused the rial to drop dramatically, Rouhani’s cabinet is in disarray, and the Iranian people are raising their voices even louder against a corrupt and hypocritical regime.”
President Trump uses Twitter in some creative ways. By issuing this warning President Trump may have done his most creative Tweet yet.

‘Shep Smith doesn’t get same intel briefings I do’: CNN tries and fails to use Fox News host’s ignorance against GOP lawmaker
Tom Tillison
The liberal media’s prescribed narrative when it comes to the invading migrant caravan(s) is that these are poor families escaping turmoil in their home countries and represent no threat to people in the United States — the talking point comes complete with photos of various women and children.
Fox News’ Shepard Smith has even picked up on this narrative, but Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., countered Smith’s insistence that “there’s nothing at all to worry about” to say the news anchor “doesn’t get the same intelligence briefings that I do.”
Appearing on CNN, Gaetz was asked about Smith’s comment by host Ana Cabrera — Smith often serves as a reliable marker on the right for liberals — who pointed out that “even Fox News has pushed back” on President Trump’s alleged fear-mongering over the caravan(s) that’s matching on our southern border.
“There is no invasion,” Smith said recently. “No one’s coming to get you. There’s nothing at all to worry about. When they did this to us, got us all riled up in April, the result was 14 arrests. We’re America. We can handle it.”
Cabrera asked Gaetz why Trump is going “negative” at campaign rallies by focusing on “this immigration divisive message rhetoric” instead of talking about the positive economic news of late.
The lawmaker replied that the president is excited about the economy.
“But that doesn’t mean we take out eye off of the ball when it comes to border security,” he added. “These caravans, this porous border, it does represent a threat to the people in the United States.”
Gaetz went on to say that Democrats have “embraced abolishing ICE, open borders and I think that should scare people.”
“It’s okay to tell people that there are bad folks that want to get across our border illegally and that we need to do the things to stop them,” he noted.
And that’s when the CNN anchor played the “Shep card,” asking if the Fox News host was wrong in his assessment.
“I think he is,” Geatz said. “Shep Smith doesn’t get the same intelligence briefings that I do that indicate there are special interest aliens who at times take advantage of the porous border.”
The Republican lawmaker sits on the Armed Forces committee in the House.
Predictably, Cabrera would soon point to the poor families in the caravan fleeing persecution and violence.
“I don’t have to win the argument that everybody in the caravan is dangerous,” Gaetz said. “I just have to win the argument that somebody in the caravan is dangerous or could be dangerous because if they are coming here to do harm to Americans, I don’t care if it’s one of them, ten of them, or 1000 of them, I don’t want them coming here disrespecting our borders.”
