We are at a crucial crossroad with North Korea. The NOKOs are moving at a rapid pace to join the rest of the world. Why? Let’s explore that.
I was born shortly after the bombs fell on Pearl Harbor, The Germans and Russians were running wild, the world was at war...everywhere.
Everyone participated in blackouts. Lights were turned off as a precaution against an attack on the homeland. German submarines were seen throughout the East Coast. We had lookout stations along our shores.
The first real memories I have of America at war came when the brother of my childhood friend went off to Korea. Peter Coutroubis was just a teen when he shipped out. His brother George and I cried our eyes out the morning he left. Not even the large cones of ice cream Mrs. Coutroubis served us could consol us. We later heard he had shipped on the Missouri, upon whose deck the articles of surrender by the Japanese ending the Pacific Theater of WWII.

Since the awful experiences of WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and other unhappy actions in which many thousands of American service men and women lost their lives and millions more have been wounded.
We are the biggest and toughest kids on the block. As such we have been forced into the role of policeman of the world. That’s not a fun place to be but would we want anyone else (China and Russia come to mind) to be the top dog? No thanks.
We are witnessing a bloodless war taking place vis a vis the NOKOs. At the moment we hold all the cards. The NOKOs have little leveredge. Their boss, China, would not want to riks all out war with us. US versus China would be the war to end all wars. The real war between us will be fought through surrogates and on the economic stage. NOKO is an expendable vassal. NOKO understands that. So does China. Ditto for Washington.
Once the NOKO problem is solved in ways positive to all the parties, our next obstacle will be Iran. The extremist Muslim lunatics are currently in command of the successors of the Persian Empire. There is good reason to believe the Mullahs will attempt a Holy war against the West’s devils.
The remainder of the middle east quagmire is in the process of resolving itself. With the solid leadership of President Trump, his level headed problem solving methods will keep us on the straight and narrow.

Watch as Secret Service Tell Cocky Jim Acosta He’s Not Getting in

It isn’t too often that someone in the White House media corps tries to pull a “do you know who I am?” on anyone, much less the Secret Service.
There’s a reason for this: Unlike athletes and singers and other such people who use the “do you know who I am?” card, most people don’t know who White House press correspondents are. Dan Rather was arguably the most famous, but this was in the days before he was the host of the “CBS Evening News.”
In other words, there aren’t too many people who can pull that ugly get-out-of-jail-free card in the White House briefing room.

But if someone was going to, it was going to be Jim Acosta. And of course he did, because … well, he’s Jim Acosta.
The whole thing was caught on video and has become a slight sensation on Twitter, at least for those of us who know who CNN’s bratty White House media correspondent is.
It’s difficult to tell from the beginning of the video what the issue was, but from what I can make out, it appears Acosta wasn’t wearing a security lanyard of some sort.
The Secret Service agent tried to explain to him that, yes, the rules to apply to him, too. But Jimbo wasn’t having it.

“I’ve been here five years and nobody’s …” Acosta said before trailing off.
The Secret Service agent responded that she was sorry, but she had not been there for five years, and all Acosta could do was thank her and walk away.
The original poster of the video characterized Acosta’s reaction as a “meltdown.” In all fairness, I wouldn’t go that far, but once you have to pull out any variation on the “do you know who I am?” card, well …
Acosta, for those of you who may have forgotten, is the same guy who actually decided to take to Twitter to complain that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders hadn’t taken a question from him at three (three!) news conferences after making a scene about it in the media briefing.

Trump Reportedly Looking to Block German Carmakers from U.S. Markets

President Donald Trump wants to use trade policy to squeeze German carmakers so that there are no Mercedes-Benz models driving down New York City’s Fifth Avenue, according to a German magazine citing unnamed U.S. and European diplomats.
German business and current affairs magazine Wirtschaftswoche reported that President Trump told French President Emmanuel Macron in April that he would push German automakers out of the U.S. market altogether.
Shares of German automakers fell Thursday following the report.
The Trump administration last week launched a Section 232 trade investigation into vehicle imports. Section 232 investigations assess whether imports damage national security. The result could be a 25 percent tariff on foreign-made cars, similar to the result of the Section 232 investigation into steel and aluminum imports.
At that level, tariffs would likely crush imports of German cars. The U.S. market for luxury cars is dominated by German automakers, which account for around 90 percent of luxury car sales.
The European Union imposes a 10 percent tariff on cars imported from the U.S. The U.S. tariff on European made cars is currently 2.5 percent.
TheWirtschaftswoche report did not say what trade barriers Trump planned to use to lock German cars out of the U.S. market.
Breitbart News could not independently confirm theWirtschaftswoche report. No U.S. news agency has confirmed Trump’s reported remarks to Macron.
The top German carmakers also own several brands not necessarily always thought of as “German” cars. Volkswagen controls Bentley, and Bugatti. BMW owns Rolls-Royce.
Elizabeth Warren doubles down on bid to make way for controversial tribal casino
Support comes as Democratic senator tries to shed ‘Pocahontas’ label
Sen. Elizabeth Warren has upped the ante on her Indian gaming gamble, defending her bill to clear the way for a Massachusetts tribal casino as she fights to overcome her “Pocahontas” problem.
In a joint statement, she and Sen. Edward Markey, both Massachusetts Democrats, said Thursday that the legislation introduced in March was aimed at protecting the Mashpee Wampanoag reservation, but made no mention of the gaming issue.
“Our bill is about recognizing the Mashpee Wampanoag tribal homelands and the tribe’s right to keep their reservation,” the statement said. “The federal government should not renege on yet another deal with Native Americans.”
The Mashpee gained federal recognition in 2007 after hiring lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who was convicted of fraud and bribery in the Indian gaming scandal, but a federal judge ruled in 2016 that the Bureau of Indian Affairs could not take land into trust on behalf of the tribe.
The ruling stopped construction on the $1 billion First Light Casino and Resort in Taunton, putting at risk the $400 million investment by the Malaysian firm Genting Group, which is bankrolling the project on behalf of the 2,600-member tribe.
Ms. Warren’s decision to weigh in on behalf of the tribe comes as she tries to shake the “Pocahontas” label by embracing Native American issues ahead of a possible 2020 presidential run.
Getting behind the Mashpee casino isn’t a risk-free political bet, however, given her past opposition to gambling, the tribe’s ties to “Casino Jack” Abramoff, and Genting’s involvement in a growing Malaysian corruption scandal.
In a Thursday op-ed, Boston Herald columnist Michael Graham asked why Ms. Warren, a well-known progressive crusader against “corporate greed,” would “make this stand with the Mashpees and their sketchy casino deal.”
“How did Liz Warren go from ‘You didn’t build that’ to ‘I’m gonna help you build that — with money from corrupt casino companies!’?” Mr. Graham wrote. “It seems like an awful lot of work to get over the ‘Fauxcahontas’ flap.”
Ms. Warren has denied that she benefited professionally from claiming Cherokee heritage as a professor at Harvard Law School even though she is not an enrolled member of any tribe.
The issue has dogged her 2018 re-election bid as critics call on her to take a DNA test to back up her ancestry claims, which she has attributed to her family lore growing up in Oklahoma.
President Trump has drawn attention to the issue by repeatedly dinging her as “Pocahontas,” a nickname that has stuck.
Her bill, the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Reservation Reaffirmation Act, was assigned March 22 to the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, but so far there has been no action on the measure or its House companion.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is reviewing a request to take the tribe’s land into trust through an alternate legal framework, which would allow the tribe to build the casino without violating the 1934 Indian Reorganization Act.
Alveda King: Starbucks Should Stop Funding Planned Parenthood if Serious about Ending Racism
The pro-life niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. said that if Starbucks truly wanted to end racism, it would stop funding Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.
Alveda King, who serves as director of Civil Rights for the Unborn at Priests for Life, noted in a column at the Washington Examiner the attempt by Starbucks Tuesday to recover from the appearance of engaging in racist business practices.
Starbucks made a point of publicizing it would be conducting a “racial-bias education” day for its employees in the wake of incidents last month in two of its stores that led to accusations of racism and a call on social media for a boycott of the coffee shop chain. In one situation, two black men who were sitting in a Philadelphia Starbucks without making a purchase were arrested for trespassing.
A letter sent to Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson, and signed by King and other pro-life leaders, said, “If you think this public relations fix means Starbucks is no longer complicit in racism, it’s time to wake up and smell your own coffee.”
“But Starbucks had racism in its corporate identity long before the April arrests,” King wrote in her Washington Examiner op-ed. “Through its corporate donations, Starbucks contributes to one of the most racist organizations in our nation’s history. Planned Parenthood, the largest single provider of abortions in the U.S., performs more than 300,000 terminations each year.”
In her column, King observed to Starbucks the racist roots of Planned Parenthood, beginning with its founder, eugenicist Margaret Sanger.
“More African-Americans have died from abortion than from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer, and heart disease — combined,” she explained. “In America today, a black child is three times more likely to be killed in the womb than a white child. And since 1973, abortion has reduced the black population by more than 25 percent.”
King pointed out that 80 percent of Planned Parenthood facilities are located in inner city neighborhoods, and that the abortion chain’s business model “was specifically engineered to target them.”
“About 13 percent of American women are black, but they have more than 35 percent of the abortions,” she wrote.
Yet, Planned Parenthood is not being boycotted for racist business practices. In fact, as King noted, a bust of Sanger – who was active with the Ku Klux Klan – sits in the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution.
Sanger, who began the Negro Project in 1939, worked to bring birth control to blacks in an effort to reduce their population. The Negro Project was sold as a solution to poverty and high birth rates among the black community.
At the same time that Sanger promoted her theory of “eliminating the unfit,” she also condemned charitable organizations that she believed were elevating the very population that needed to be weeded out.
“Through the founding of Planned Parenthood, Sanger was a pioneer of modern-day deceptive women’s health practices and the engineer of modern-day black eugenics,” King wrote. “Planned Parenthood has spent an entire century murdering children and eradicating African-Americans.”
King called out Starbucks and other companies “that claim to care about ‘racial bias’ to stop funding Planned Parenthood’s house of horrors, which has taken precious lives away from minority communities and from society at large.”
She concluded:
Starbucks, if you’re really serious about eliminating racism, you will acknowledge that black people, and indeed all human beings, are of one blood and one human race, born and unborn. Racism and abortion are crimes against humanity.

When Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson was asked by Fox Business Network host Maria Bartiromo for his response to King’s op-ed, Johnson responded he is “not aware that … we do fund Planned Parenthood.”
“What I do — am aware of and do believe is that we want to create a great customer experience for every customer that visits our stores,” he said.
As MRC NewsBusters reports, Starbucks is listed as a matching gift company at a Planned Parenthood site.

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) reacted to remarks from Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who had said the FBI had done exactly what they were supposed regarding allegations of surveilling members of President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.
DeSantis said such activity was “not normal” and the proper course of action would have been for the FBI to notify Trump himself of the possibility of Russian involvement directly.
“The way the FBI and potentially other agencies did that was not trying to protect then-candidate Donald Trump,” DeSantis said. “If you had a problem with somebody on the periphery of the campaign, the obvious thing to do is to go brief the campaign and brief Donald Trump. And guess what Donald Trump would have done — if it was some tangential figure, he would say ‘OK, we will not have them involved in the campaign.'”
“Instead, they deployed this informant to spy on the campaign, and he was trying to manufacture contact with Papadopoulos, with Sam Clovis, you know, with these people,” he added. “And he was doing it over and over again. He may not have been the only one, Brian. So, when you are deploying surveillance powers, counterintelligence powers, against an opposition party’s campaign, that is not normal, and I think that is not what Americans want the FBI to be doing.”

5 Ways Liberals Create Racism
One of the worst things about Barack Obama’s presidency is that it turned the Left’s focus on race into a monomaniacal obsession. If you’re a hammer, every problem looks like a nail and if you’re a liberal, every conflict that involves a minority in any way is racism. We like to believe that our country relentlessly moves forward, but unquestionably the Left has dragged America backward on race over the last decade.
1. Libs Create Racist Rock Stars
David Duke’s by-the-skin-of-his-teeth win in a Louisiana state House race was almost 30 years ago. Richard Spencer is considered to be a pariah in the conservative movement and Republican Party. He has no influence and no one who is anyone wants to be associated with him. In other words, these men are not even on the fringes of the conservative movement. They’re so far out that you can barely see them from the fringes. Yet, the mainstream media liberals treat them like rock stars. They write article after article about them. They publicize their tiny rallies, bring out waves of violent counter-protesters and turn what would otherwise be 50 sad losers marching around to eye rolls into major topics of conversation. In a culture that worships fame and outrage, the very fact that these guys can get endless press undoubtedly draws some people to them. That’s 100 percent on the liberal media because just about the only thing conservatives ever say about these guys is, “Stop lumping us in with these a-holes.”
2. Let Political Correctness Rule
Liberals have turned into safe-space-loving, trigger-word-demanding, humorless fun-police scolds. They seem to spend most of their time outraged because some compliment they received wasn’t polite enough or because some white guy is “appropriating another culture” (i.e. eating a taco). Anything from hunting to asking someone where he’s from to wearing a dress that looks a little too Chinese may send them into a frothing, insane rage that leaves normal people scratching their heads. When you deal with incredibly irritating people who constantly try to silence everyone who disagrees with them, it’s fun to piss them off. I would not recommend it, but one easy way to do that is to use a racist slur or symbol. When liberals have become so hysterical that a whole school can be shut down because someone writes the N-word on a bathroom stall, there are people who undoubtedly see saying racist things as a great way to get in a dig at liberal prigs. Once you have people who say racist things to get attention, it’s not that far of a jump to actually become a racist.
3. There’s Identity Politics For Me, But Not For Thee
Martin Luther King Jr. won a great victory when he convinced white Americans that people should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Today’s liberals believe we should go back to the same attitudes of the bad old days when people believed you should judge people by the color of their skin (except for white liberals). They encourage every group you can imagine to not only embrace tribalism, but to hate and despise non-liberal white Americans. There is practically no amount of hatred or bigotry coming from a black liberal toward white Americans that will cause left-wingers to bat an eye. Yet, when white supremacists do the exact same things that liberals encourage among minorities, everyone is supposed to be outraged. Most people are, because contrary to what liberals claim incessantly, they’re not racist. But they can still see the incredible hypocrisy of it all.
4. Victims, aren’t we all?
Liberals love victimhood and they never stop talking about it. Black Americans are victims of white racism. So are Hispanics. Muslims? Victims. Gays? Victims. You’re transsexual and you want to use the women’s bathrooms and there’s a woman who’s uncomfortable with it? Victim! NFL teams don’t want to hire you after you publicly disrespected the flag? Victim. You’re a woman? That evil patriarchy is victimizing you. You tried to assault a cop and he shot you? Victim. Are you a college student who has someone who disagrees with you speaking across campus? VICTIM! Did someone say something mean to you? Oh, you poor thing! Let’s get a GoFundMe started for you! If victimhood is in vogue, is it really surprising that there are white guys who want to claim to be victimized by black Americans? Honestly, their case is just as good as most of the other people who claim to be victims, which is to say, it’s not very good at all – but this is the world liberals are creating. When you encourage people to think of themselves as victims, there will be those who take you up on it. It’s not healthy for them or for anybody else, but they are doing what liberals have taught them to do.
5. If Everybody Is a Racist, Nobody Is a Racist
Every Trump voter, every Republican candidate, every Republican voter and every white American has been incessantly called a racist by liberals over the last few years. The poorest, least successful white American is constantly told he’s “privileged” and has scorn heaped on him because of the color of his skin. We get never-ending sanctimonious lectures about how awful white people are from liberal minorities and white liberals DESPERATE to prove they’re good white people, not like all those OTHER white people. This blurs the lines between real racism and “doing things liberals disagree with” that make up 99.9 of the things that get called racist these days. If there’s no meaningful difference between how you describe a member of the KKK and the average Trump voter, what language do you use when the real racists show up? On a more depressing note, when people who do nothing wrong are slandered as racist on an almost daily basis, it would actually be surprising if none of them started to resent the people who attack them. So, ironically, as trashing white Americans has turned into a favorite pastime of black liberals, they have no doubt actually increased the number of racists who hate their guts.
It would be fantastic if liberals could become self-aware enough to see the damage they are doing and the hate they are creating. Of course, many liberals do know better, but they think stirring up that hatred will be to their advantage. One day that sort of thinking may tear the country apart.
