DONALD J. TRUMP

Elizabeth Warren Finally Addresses Native American Heritage
I’ve noticed that when my name comes up, @realDonaldTrump likes to talk about Pocahontas. So I figured, let’s talk about Pocahontas. Not the tale that's been twisted for centuries – but the real Pocahontas, and her story of heroism. And bravery. And pain. @NCAI1944 #ECWS2018

Pocahontas is at it again! Goofy Elizabeth Warren, one of the least productive U.S. Senators, has a nasty mouth. Hope she is V.P. choice.

After years of mockery, including by a sitting U.S. president, Elizabeth Warren is finally addressing her practically non-existent Native American heritage that she abused when applying for a prestigious job at Harvard Law School.
She got the job, and at the time, was one of only two Ivy League Law professors to not   hold
Warren today made a surprise appearance at the National Congress of American Indians, delivering a speech about issues facing Native Americans and defending herself from the “Pocahontas” slur repeatedly lobbed at her by President Trump.

“I get why some people think there’s hay to be made here,” Warren said, according to a transcript of the speech published by The Boston Globe. “You won’t find my family members on any rolls, and I’m not enrolled in a tribe.”

She said that she respects the distinction between heritage and tribal membership, and said she has “never used my family tree to get a break or get ahead. I never used it to advance my career.”
She is completely lying about “never” having used her faux-Native status to further her career. Given that “Native American” is a demographic that’s a net beneficiary of affirmative action, how could it have not helped her? She can deny her intent to game the system, but why else would she have signed up as a Native?
Her Senate seat is being challenged by Shiva Ayyadurai, who refers to himself as the only “real Indian” in the race. It’s more of a play on words though, because Shiva was born Indian, and he isn’t claiming to be a Native American Indian.
I bring him up only because he gifted her a 23andMe DNA kit so she could put this issue behind her once and for all. That was nearly a year ago, and we’ll never get any results because Warren refused the gift.
Who gives up a free $102 birthday gift? Someone who doesn’t want their heritage proven, apparently.

Democrats Starting to Worry About Trump’s Rising Approval Numbers

As the parties begin gearing up for this year’s midterm elections set to occur on the other side of the year from here, some Democrats are already shaken in their resolve. Trump’s approval ratings have begun to rise causing Democrats to also rise… to the edge of panic. You see, they were counting on Trump’s ratings to stay in the basement all year so that they could make the midterms all about Trump and thereby avoid having to talk about any issues at all.

With the media telling Democrats they already have the election in the bag and that a “blue wave” is about to break over the electorate, the liberal party was all set to win without really trying. And they expected that Trump’s low approval ratings would allow the to make every last election across the fruited plain a referendum on Trump.

But, with his approval ratings rising, that puts the left’s base assumption about how to run the election in jeopardy.

According to a report by Morning Consult, Trump’s ratings are on the rise as Americans take stock of the growing economy. Clearly the president is getting the credit for higher wages, numerous bonuses, growing businesses, and some of the lowest unemployment rates seen in many decades.

This credit comes despite the left’s outrageous claims that the growing U.S. economy is a result of Obama’s policies for supposedly “turning around Bush’s failed economy.” It appears that not a single person believes this line of liberal nonsense.

Yes, as Morning Consult reports Trump is getting  all the credit:

While Trump’s net approval rating remained 7 points underwater in January — with 44 percent of registered voters approving of his job performance and 51 percent disapproving — the number represents a 2-point bump compared with his rating in September and a 4-point bump from October and November.

Much of that gain was driven by an increase of enthusiastic support from Republican voters: Forty-eight percent of those voters in January said they strongly approve of Trump, compared with 43 percent in September.

Some experts suggest Trump’s improved standing with the public, and Republican voters in particular, was partly due to rosy economic indicators during this period — from stock market gains to strong employment figures — and Republican lawmakers’ overhaul of the country’s tax code, despite the public’s mixed response to certain parts of the legislation.

So, even as the Never Trumpers are still stomping their little feet in petulant anger that America is ignoring them, average Republican voters seem to have settled into the feeling that Trump will more or less stick with the party goals and not act the wrecking ball for the agenda. He is doing just enough things different to make them feel like he is fulfilling his campaign promises but not bowing to the left (as many feared) or destroying the GOP itself.

Couple the good feelings from rank and file Republicans with independents who are clearly coming Trump’s way, and the Democrats have a problem.

This problem is already vexing Democrat activists. As Ed Morissey noted this week, at least one Democrat Super PAC is sounding the alarm bells already. Priorities USA is telling Democrats that their idea of focusing solely on Trump is already showing signs of futility.

“According to internal polling by the super PAC, President Trump’s approval rating climbed to 44 percent in the first week of February, compared to 53 percent who disapprove,” McClatchy reported. “That mirrors Trump’s improving position in public polls.”

McClatchy continued:

In November, the same survey found his approval rating at 40 percent, with 54 percent disapproving.

The group’s survey also showed the Democratic Party’s generic ballot advantage had shrunk, with 46 percent preferring Democrats to 42 percent for Republicans.

Other polls are also showing that as Trump gains strength, the Democrats are losing their lead.

With the GOP gaining confidence and poll numbers, Morrissey notes that the Democrats better learn quick that their strategy is probably not going to lead to great gains.

“One party may have demonstrated competence and seriousness issues in governance in 2017,” Morrissey wrote, “but the other party is showing it doesn’t take anything seriously in 2018, especially economic reality. If all they can talk about is Trump’s behavior, they’ll be doing it from the back benches until at least 2020.”

Democrats aren’t known for learning lessons. So, these warnings will not likely cause many to re-think their strategy. And that is good for the GOP.

UPDATED:

Wouldn’t you know it, just as we go to press, the new Politico/Morning Consult numbers are out and guess what…? For the first time in a very long time, the Republicans have taken a lead on the Democrats in the “generic ballot” question!

Republicans have erased the Democratic advantage on the generic congressional ballot in a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll that, for the first time since April, also shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating equaling the percentage of voters who disapprove of his job performance.

Fully 39 percent of registered voters say they would support the GOP candidate for Congress in their district, while 38 percent would back the Democratic candidate. Nearly a quarter of voters, 23 percent, are undecided.

Voters are split almost evenly along party lines. Democratic voters break for their party, 85 percent to 5 percent, while Republicans similarly favor the GOP, 84 percent to 8 percent. Among independent voters, 26 percent would vote for the Democrat, 25 percent for the Republican and nearly half, 49 percent, are undecided.

Michelle Obama’s Portrait Dress Choice Is No Coincidence, Here’s the Sneaky Message She Sent

After former first lady Michelle Obama’s official portrait was unveiled Monday at the Smithsonian, many people pointed out that the face in the painting looked nothing like Obama herself.
But Obama’s face isn’t the only unique part of the painting. Rather, it’s the dress she wore in the portrait that may have sent a hidden political message.
The woman who designed the former first lady’s dress, Michelle Smith, is an outspoken supporter of liberal causes like LGBT equality and Planned Parenthood, in addition to being a vocal critic of President Donald Trump.
Smith, who co-owns the design company “Milly,” told The Washington Post that the dress Obama wore in the portrait was based off a similar design from her spring 2017 collection.
At that time, just months after Trump was inaugurated, Smith’s inspiration came from a “desire for equality, equality in human rights, racial equality, LGBTQ equality,” she said.

She highlighted the emphasis on different types of laces and ties in that collection — elements that were supposed to hearken a “feeling of being held back … that we’re not quite there yet.”
Meanwhile, the dress Obama wore was only altered slightly from a design worn by a model on the runway, Smith said, the major difference being that Obama’s dress is less “discreet” than the runway version, which was open in the back, according to The Post.
“People have been describing the dress as couture, but the fabric is a stretch cotton poplin,” Smith said. It may look “like couture but it’s made out of something spartan,” she added.
The political statement Obama may have been trying to make was not lost on outlets like Politico Magazine, which pointed out that Smith, unlike many other designers, is not afraid to make her views about the current administration known.
After unveiling campaigns in the spring and fall of 2017 that were geared toward the LGBT community, she noted she wanted to reach out to those people following Trump’s election.
“It felt right to reach out to the LGBT community who is feeling threatened right now under Trump and the administration,” Smith told The Hollywood Reporter.

Many of the photos she has used to advertise her designs have been unmistakable statements of support for LGBT rights.
She has released photos of women kissing each other, and in 2018, she used gender fluid model Elliott Sailors to promote her work.
In November 2017, moreover, she ranted to Teen Vogue that under Trump, the rights she “had sadly taken for granted” now felt “threatened.” Smith had hoped and assumed the U.S. would have its “first female president,” but she was mistaken.
“What I had felt to be an extraordinary triumph for equality — the election of an African-American president — was my children’s normal. Gay marriage and LGBTQ equality was their normal,” she said.
“Their generation, I had often thought, is where the real shift in equality and human rights will take place. I had easily assumed their next ultimate role model would be a female president. I was wrong. … All the rights I had sadly taken for granted . . . now felt threatened. I had to do something.”
In addition to her LGBT activism, Smith is a supporter of Planned Parenthood, and in 2017, she even created a T-shirt to commemorate the abortion provider’s 100th anniversary. All the profits from the shirt were donated to the organization.

And for the former first lady, it’s hardly the first time she has worn clothes designed by Smith’s company. Perhaps most notably, Obama wore a Milly-designed top when she posed for her final White House photographs.

Smith, moreover, said she was thrilled Obama wore her dress for the official portrait.

“This is the biggest honor as a designer – as an American!” she told ABC News, while noting that she had forgotten the portrait was being unveiled Monday.

Moreover, she said the dress was simple, not high-fashion.

“It is a people’s fabric. The dress has pockets. It is easy and comfortable,” she said.

Elementary Principal Announces He Is Transgender, Will Start Dressing as a Woman

by DR. SUSAN BERRY

Daniels Trans PrincipalA 52-year-old male elementary school principal has announced he is now transgender and will begin dressing as a woman at school.
Tom Daniels, principal of Stanley School in Swampscott, Massachusetts, said in a letter to the school community that was forwarded to the Boston Globe, “I am transgender.
For me, that means I identify as both a male and female, and I plan to move toward presenting myself and identifying as female.”
Daniels says he will now be known as “Shannon,” a name common to both males and females, “perfectly denoting my fluid gender identity.”
He also indicated in his letter he prefers to have others use the pronouns “he,” “she” and “they” when referring to him.
“As I nurture my new identity, I will most likely be presenting myself differently,” Daniels continued. “I will do everything in my power to ensure that there is no negative impact on our school community.”
According to Salem News, Daniels said he woke up one morning and asked himself, “Who am I and what do I want?”
Daniels, who heads a school of kindergartners to fourth graders, recommended some “simple language” parents can use to explain to their young children about his decision to identify as a woman.
“Principal Daniels may look and sound different, but inside Principal Daniels is the same caring person,” was one option.
“This doesn’t change the fact that Stanley School is a great place to be and learn,” was another option recommended for parents explaining Daniels’ change in appearance to their children.
According to CBS Boston, Daniels has been married to a woman for 29 years and has three children aged 16-23.
He says since his decision he feels closer to his wife.
“I feel really like calm, and sort of peaceful and really kind and sensitive,” he said.
Daniels adds he hopes to physically transition to become a woman.

In a separate letter to parents, Superintendent of Schools Pamela Angelakis wrote, “I applaud Principal Daniels and admire the courage, honesty and transparency that comes through in the letter you received.”
Angelakis included in her letter resources for parents about how to discuss transgender issues with children.
In an interview with LifeSiteNews, Family Research Council senior fellow for policy studies Peter Sprigg said Daniels’ “transition” from male to female will likely cause some distress to the young children at the school.
“Children do not have the cognitive capacity to understand something which could upend their own developing sense of a secure, natural identity as male or female,” he explained. “Mr. Daniels’ case is even more extreme (and likely confusing to the children), because he is not merely changing from a [male to female] identity, but claims that he identifies ‘as both a male and female,’ and is going to ‘move toward’ presenting and identifying as female. Children should not be subjected to such social engineering.”

Leaked Assange Messages Pour Cold Water On One Trump Collusion Theory

By Daily Caller

Chuck Ross
One theory of President Donald Trump’s campaign collusion holds that longtime Trump pal Roger Stone worked with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to release Democrats’ hacked emails during the 2016 presidential campaign.
A new leak of private Assange messages pours cold water on that idea.
In private Twitter messages exchanged in Aug. 2016, Assange referred to Stone as a “bullshitter” who falsely implied in public statements that he was communicating with WikiLeaks, The Intercept reported Wednesday.

“Stone is a bullshitter,” Assange wrote to an associate in a private group chat.
“Trying to a) imply that he knows anything b) that he contributed to our hard work,” he added.
Assange was responding to a news article that quoted Stone claiming he was in contact with Assange.
“I actually have communicated with Assange,” Stone told a group of Florida Republicans on Aug. 8.
Stone, a longtime Republican operative who has known Trump for 40 years, made other cryptic comments suggesting he had foreknowledge of WikiLeaks’ release of emails stolen from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta.
WikiLeaks began publishing Podesta’s hacked emails in Oct. 2016. In July, the group dumped 20,000 emails that were stolen from the Democratic National Committee. The U.S. intelligence community believes the Russian government orchestrated the hacks and used WikiLeaks as a cut-out.
“Trust me, it will soon the Podesta’s time in the barrel,” Stone tweeted on Aug. 21, 2016.
The release of Podesta’s emails two months later led to allegations that Stone and the Trump campaign cooperated with WikiLeaks and/or Russia.
“I think there’s at least a reasonable belief that Mr. Assange may have passed this information onto Mr. Stone,” Podesta said after his emails were released.
Stone responded at the time by softening his initial claim that he had direct contact with Assange.
“I had no advance knowledge. They don’t tell me who they’re hacking, they don’t tell me who they’re not hacking, and I’m not clearing what they put out. It’s an absurdity, it would be funny if it wasn’t so outrageous,” Stone told The Daily Caller at the time.
He also said that he was “in communications with Assange through an intermediary.”
Despite Stone’s denials, Democrats have cited his remarks as possible evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government. Stone has denied the charge but refused for more than a year to identify his intermediary to Assange.
Stone finally revealed to the House Intelligence Committee in November that his contact was Randy Credico, a New York-based radio host and activist who has visited Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where the hacker lives under asylum.
Credico was subpoenaed to appear before the House Intelligence Committee in December, but he pleaded the fifth.
Stone also recently visited London where he dropped off his business card at the Ecuadorian embassy. He has also called on Trump to free Assange.

G’ day…Ciao…
