Mondo TV is set to promote the follow-up to the live-action hit Heidi Bienvenida a Casa at NATPE 2018!
“Production on the second series—called Heidi Bienvenida al Show—has now been finalized,” says Maria Bonaria Fois, the general manager of Mondo TV Iberoamerica. “Heidi Bienvenida al Show is due out by the beginning of 2018.” The company will also be showcasing the first season and has plans for a third installment in the future. The series airs regularly on Nickelodeon Latinoamérica and Nickelodeon Brasil.
This year marks the fourth time that Mondo TV is attending the NATPE Miami Marketplace & Conference. In addition to Heidi, Mondo TV will also be showcasing Invention Story, a younger-skewing animated show slated to launch this year. “Henan York Animation and Mondo TV have already committed to five [seasons of Invention Story] for a total of 520 11-minute episodes,” she says.

NATPE 2018 will take place at the Fontainebleau & Eden Roc, Miami Beach, Florida between Tuesday 16th - Thursday 18th January 2018.

In related news, Mondo TV Iberoamerica has teamed up with Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial for a multi-country publishing deal inspired by the television show, Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa and Heidi Bienvenida al Show.
The two-year agreement will see Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial – an imprint of Penguin Random House International - launch more than 10 titles based on the teen comedy-drama in Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
“We are thrilled to be able to announce this publishing deal for Heidi Bienvenida,” said Fois. “Penguin Random House, one of the most important names in world publishing, is an ideal partner for Heidi and will further build on the success of the TV series and licensing program with these wonderful new titles.”
The new titles are expected to hit shelves in March 2018.
Inspired by the classic 1880 novel Heidi by Johanna Spyri, which tells the tale of a young girl full of charm who leaves her mountain home for the city, the series reinterprets the classic children's story, combining comedy, humor and music with modern day twists. The 60×45-minute series was written by Marcela Citterio and is co-produced with Alianzas Producciones. Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa launched on Nickelodeon Latinoamérica and Nickelodeon Brasil. Heidi Bienvenida a Casa is Mondo TV Iberoamerica’s first live-action TV production.
