Viacom Americas Working On Two New Nickelodeon Shows: 'Club 57' And 'Noobees'

Viacom International Media Networks Americas are currently working on two brand-new telenovelas for Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) and Nickelodeon Brazil (Brasil), titled Club 57 and Noobees!


Currently in pre-production in Miami, Florida, Club 57 is a brand-new time-travelling themed series that tells the story of a 14-year-old tech loving girl who accidentally travels back in time. Stuck in the past, she discovers her passion for music, and falls in love. The first season of Club 57 will feature 75 one-hour episodes. Filming for Club 57 is scheduled to start in January 2018, with a September 2018 wrap date. The series is slated to premiere on Nickelodeon during late 2018. Among the cast, Club 57 will feature renowned actor Lupita Ferrer. Although unconfirmed, there are reports that Club 57 will star Isabella Castillo (Grachi, Yo Soy Franky, Vikki RPM), Martín Barba (Yo Soy Franky), Andrés Mercado (Yo Soy Franky), and Xabiani Ponce De León (Violetta).

The pilot episode of Club 57 featured Bryan Batista as a model, actor and dancer, and Randy Valdes served as Director of Photography on Nickelodeon Series Trailer for Club 57.

Not much is currently known about Noobees, however, it will be set in the eSports world, and will feature actor Steffany Rios.

Both productions will join Nickelodeon's roster of hit original Latino series, including Vikki RPM, Kally’s Mashup and Heidi Bienvenido a casa (Heidi, Bem-Vinda À Casa). Nickelodeon Latinoamérica and Nickelodeon Brasil are expected to premiere Heidi season two, locally titled Heidi, bienvenida to show and Heidi, Bem-vinda ao Show respectively, in during 2018, and Nickelodeon Brasil is expected to debut Kally’s Mashup, which premiered on Nickelodeon Latinoamérica in October 2017, during the first quarter of 2018.

Durante 2017 Nickelodeon festejará sus primeros 20 años con una programación especial que recordará las series más exitosas y más de 1.200 episodios de nuevas series.

A lo largo de estos años fuimos creciendo y actualmente tenemos cuatro feeds y hemos lanzado marcas como Nick Jr., Nick 2 y sus versiones HD” destacó Tatiana Rodríguez, VP sénior de Nickelodeon Group Americas.

Otro importante hito del canal fue la incursión en producción original. De allí salieron éxitos como la sitcom Skimo, las novelas infanto juveniles Isa TKM y TKM+, Sueña conmigo, tres temporadas Grachi y Yo soy Franky, entre otras.

También en estos años han crecido en la expansión de plataformas digitales con lanzamientos como: Nick play, Noggin para VOD para el público preescolar y My Nick Junior.

Rodríguez subrayó la importancia de eventos como los Kids’ choice awards que ya se hace en México, Brasil, Argentina y Colombia y durante 2016 lanzaron el Día del juego en Brasil y México. El objetivo es hacerlo en Colombia y Argentina.

En cuanto a nuevas producciones originales, adelantó el estreno de Fórmula A, una historia de amor ambientada en el mundo del karting, producida por Somos Productions y la serie musical Club 57.
