MAGA Government Jobs Reduced By 11,000 Under Trump

(CNSNews.com) - The number of people working for the federal government has declined by 11,000 in 2017 while the number working for state governments has declined 2,000, according to data published today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
But because the number of people employed by local governments has climbed 12,000 so far this year, the overall decline in the number of people employed nationwide by government has only dropped by 1,000 in 2017.
Meanwhile, even though manufacturing jobs have increased by 137,000 this year, the number employed by government in August still exceeded the number employed in manufacturing by 9,818,000.
In December 2016, there were 22,299,000 people employed by federal, state and local governments in the United States. By August, that had dropped to 22,298,000—a decline of 1,000.

The New York Times ran an article on Monday about Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez, who is facing a federal bribery trial, which is set to begin this week.
The Times did not shy away from the magnitude of his alleged crimes: “Mr. Menendez is charged with 12 corruption-related counts, including six counts of bribery and three counts of honest services fraud.”
Indeed, the defense for Mr. Menendez is unlikely to dispute some of the facts; that Dr. Salomon Melgen, a wealthy Florida ophthalmologist, bestowed on the senator lavish gifts of private flights, luxury accommodations and free vacations – all which Mr. Menendez initially failed to disclose — and he made more than $700,000 in direct and indirect political contributions to Mr. Menendez.
The legal case revolves around whether those gifts were permissible as gifts a friend could give to another, or whether they were part of a longstanding bribery arrangement where Mr. Menendez would intervene to protect the financial and personal interests of Dr. Melgen in return for his gifts and donations. According to a disturbingly pleasant graphic from Information is Beautiful entitled simply 20th Century Death, communism was the leading ideological cause of death between 1900 and 2000. The 94 million that perished in China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, Afghanistan, and Eastern Europe easily (and tragically) trump the 28 million that died under fascist regimes during the same period.
During the century measured, more people died as a result of communism than from homicide (58 million) and genocide (30 million) put together. The combined death tolls of WWI (37 million) and WWII (66 million) exceed communism’s total by only 9 million.

It gets worse when you look at the lower right of the chart—The Natural World—which includes animals (7 million), natural disasters (24 million), and famine (101 million). Curiously, all of the world’s worst famines during the 20th century were in communist countries: China (twice!), the Soviet Union, and North Korea.
Communism is a killer. And yet some still say they support the idea: According to a 2011 Rasmussen poll, 11% of Americans think that communism would better serve this country’s needs than our current system.

Battle Brewing on Capitol Hill as Establishment Aims to Link Hurricane Harvey Aid with Debt Ceiling Hike

As the swamp establishment in Washington plans to move on legislation that would provide funding relief to the Gulf Coast—particularly Houston—in the wake of Hurricane Harvey by linking it to a debt ceiling increase of $2 trillion, conservatives inside and outside of Congress are launching efforts to expose and thwart the plan.
The process the establishment—House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are complicit in this—plans to employ is to first, on Wednesday morning, pass out of the House a so-called “clean” Harvey relief package. On Thursday, the Senate will add to that and tie it to the debt ceiling bill that would raise the debt ceiling by $2 trillion. That means the debt ceiling would be raised past the 2018 midterm elections with no reform whatsoever to spending or government. Then, the Senate would kick that back to the House for final approval before being sent to the president.
“You’ve laid out the facts exactly as we anticipate they will be played out,” House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) said on Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM 125 The Patriot Channel on Tuesday morning. “Hopefully, the voice of the American people will stand up against it. But it is a critical time. Indeed, the president is not understating how critical this week is. But we also have the opportunity to do it right or do it wrong. And, I’m afraid that as what happens when Capitol Hill normally gets involved in things, the tendency is to do it wrong. As you mentioned, we’re going to vote on Wednesday morning for Hurricane Harvey relief. Many conservatives believe that if we keep that as just a clean relief effort, no pork, no leverage, no debt ceiling added to it, that it will fly through not only the House but the Senate. But what we do anticipate is that the Senate will add, as you mentioned, the $2 trillion debt increase and send it back to the House. I think that not only does that send a very bad message, it just says that the people that have suffered so much in Texas now are being used as a leverage to just promote an increase in the federal credit card. It’s just not the right way to do it. We’re going to push back as conservatives. We’re starting to build momentum.”
Meadows pointed to a statement issued by Republican Study Committee (RSC) Chairman Rep. Mark Walker (R-NC) who said that Harvey aid should not be used to increase the debt ceiling—and that the debt ceiling should be handled separately from other matters. Together, the RSC and Freedom Caucus represent the vast majority of members in the House of Representatives.
Jenny Beth Martin, the co-founder of Tea Party Patriots, called what the Washington swamp is about to do “disgusting.”
“If this happens the way you just outlined it—and what you just outlined is exactly what I’m hearing—so we’re on the same page with this, if this is what happens, we actually wind up with a worse deal than when Speaker [John] Boehner was Speaker and [Barack] Obama was president,” Martin said in her own Breitbart News Daily interview on Tuesday. “At least when Speaker Boehner was Speaker and Obama was president, we got some sort of spending cuts. It wasn’t even cuts, it was a reduction in the increase. There will be no reduction, no cuts, and it will be a $2 trillion bill that passes. The House and the Senate would not vote on it again until after the next election so that they hope people will forget about this and we will be $22 trillion in debt. If they want to take care of the people who have been devastated by this hurricane, who already individually owe $60,000 of their own share of the national debt, then take care of them. Don’t add to their debt. Deal with taking care of them in a clean bill, and then come back and deal with the debt ceiling increase and do something with that that addresses spending reform.”
She said it is almost like the last election never happened, and that the politicians cannot seem to be bothered with the business of the little people across America.
“But what they can seem to be bothered with is the business of Wall Street and K Street,” Martin said. “They, day after day, prove they are more committed to taking care of Wall Street and K Street than they are to Main Street and the forgotten men and women of this country who elected Donald Trump sending a message to Washington, D.C., that they want a sledgehammer and a wrecking ball taken to that awful swampy place. They are, they’re giving us the middle finger. They’re giving the election the middle finger. They’re not respecting the will of the American people right now.”
“The events last week in Houston were devastating, but even before the murky waters in Texas have fully receded, Congress is already up to its old shenanigans,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh in a statement:
That’s because when special interests and lobbyists hear the magic words ‘emergency spending’ their eyes light up like a kid at Christmas-time. Instead of reserving emergency funds for those in greatest need of assistance, opportunistic politicians are using this tragedy as a blank check to fund pet projects all over the country. They are exploiting victims to hand out pork — it’s despicable.
Club for Growth has long fought for offsetting emergency spending for natural disasters and will continue to do so. Disasters like Harvey may be unpredictable, but we know with 100 percent certainty that they will occur. Congress needs to stop using the ‘emergency’ label as an excuse for politicians to spend money without paying for it. All disaster relief should always be paid for. Period.
House GOP leadership, sources tell Breitbart News, are likely to thwart any effort by conservatives to get actual spending and government reforms in the forthcoming battles—despite promised efforts for fights. Meadows, at the helm of the House Freedom Caucus, oversees 40 plus House members that can effectively—as long as Ryan does not turn to the Democrats to bail him out, at which point if he does he would be putting his speakership in jeopardy—block any bad bill from passing the House. Efforts are, sources say, likely to begin Tuesday evening as the House Rules Committee takes up the initial phony Harvey aid bill.

Paul Ryan has been having a bad year since the election of President Trump.
And to make matters worse, he is losing support from those within his own party.
But what just happened in one surprising state could be the worst news he’s received this year.
During a Minnesota candidate forum for GOP candidates in Congress, four candidates declined to say whether they’d support Paul Ryan if he runs for Speaker in the next Congress.

THEIR ANSWERS SUGGEST SOME GOP CANDIDATES MAY BE RELUCTANT TO EMBRACE RYAN AS THE GOP HOUSE STRUGGLES TO PASS LEGISLATION, AND AS PRESIDENT TRUMP CALLS INTO QUESTION THE CONGRESSIONAL LEADERS OF HIS OWN PARTY.
RYAN HAS ALSO BEEN A TARGET FOR CONSERVATIVE MEDIA, WHICH MAY BE PUTTING PRESSURE ON CANDIDATES TO DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM HIM.

This outlines a major struggle Ryan has been having, and it’s some hard proof that it’s becoming unpopular to support him.
In fact, Paul Ryan is now so unpopular that a recent NBC News poll showed he is more unpopular than even Democrat Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
This unpopularity is coming in response to inaction in Congress, which Trump is largely blaming on leadership.
Trump was heavily critical of Ryan’s handling of the recent debt ceiling negotiations.
He publicly went after both Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Twitter just days ago.

It is becoming clear that if Paul Ryan doesn’t begin passing items on Trump’s agenda, that he may lose his job as Speaker, or even possibly be ousted from his House seat.
And with declining support from the President, his colleagues, and voters in his district, he has a lot of work to do if he is going to save face.

Globalists will throw Antifa to the wolves to further their agenda
In numerous interviews and articles, including my essay ‘Globalist Strategy: Use Crazy Leftists And Provocateurs To Enrage/Demonize Conservatives‘, I have warned leftists that they are being exploited by globalists as a means to drive conservatives towards greater centralization under Trump and the federal government and that if they continue on the path they have embraced, a totalitarian response may be imminent.
I have also made it clear to conservatives that cultural Marxist groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter as they exist today are paper tigers; they are not physically or strategically capable of backing up the viciousness of their ideologies. Meaning, a totalitarian response is not warranted (a totalitarian response is never warranted) and would in fact only help the globalists in their long term efforts to destroy our Constitutional principles.
To summarize, the goal of the establishment is to use extreme leftist groups like a short stick to prod the real tiger — conservative movements. The goal, I believe, is to enrage liberty champions to the point that they are willing to “bend the rules” and rationalize the abandonment of their morals in order to defeat what they think is a great evil. Like all morally relativistic shifts in society, there is always the claim that it is for “the greater good of the greater number.”
In the end, groups like Antifa will be thrown to the wolves, because the globalists do not intend for them to “win” any engagement with conservatives. This was never the plan.
If you want to measure the speed at which our nation is destabilizing under this agenda, it is helpful to watch how quickly government institutions and politicians abandon or turn on leftists. The faster they do so, the more likely it is that a major crisis event is in the making.
In the past week alone, the entire narrative surrounding the mainstream relationship to Antifa has turned sour. For example:
According to documents obtained by Politico, the FBI and DHS have now officially classified Antifa as a terrorist group. The DHS has stated that these documents were not meant to be made public.
The mainstream media, the largest backers of cultural Marxist groups, must have received a memo, because their narrative has quickly turned negative towards Antifa.The Washington Post chastised them for attacking “peaceful right-wing demonstrators” (did you ever think you would see the words “peaceful right-wing protestors” in an establishment rag like The Washington Post?).
The Los Angeles Times also admonished far-left violence, while The Atlantic warned of the “rise of the violent left.”
Even crazed leftist zealot Nancy Pelosi has publicly turned against Antifa, stating that violent member should be “locked up.”
This is a rather fascinating 180 degree turn from a couple of weeks ago when all eyes were on “white nationalist” groups as the primary threat to America. But does this mean that the establishment did some soul searching and realized who the real purveyors of violence and conflict are? No, it does not.
As I have been predicting since before the 2016 elections, the left’s usefulness has a shelf life. If the establishment was interested in following through with the concept that Trump must be “unseated,” then they would retain full public support behind groups like Antifa. Instead, the establishment is playing the game of the hidden hand.
Right now,it would seem that Antifa groups are to take on the role of the underdog — the battered but still active insurgency against an “increasingly fascist regime.” A few events need to take place in order for this narrative to hold any weight in the national consciousness, however. For example, while globalists may back away from support of extreme leftists in public, they will most likely continue with private support and funding as men like George Soros have always done. Leftists will also have to be inspired to even greater violence than they have already committed.
As I discussed in my article ‘Militant Leftists Are More An Annoyance Than A Real Threat To Liberty‘, published in May, regular Antifa protest organizations are not a true threat. So, eventually there will be Antifa groups that are directly trained by government agencies to commit terrorist acts, much like The Weather Underground in the U.S. in the 1970s, or the controlled and well armed terror groups in Europe during Operation Gladio from the 1950s to the 1990s. In the end, all leftists will be associated with the actions of these false flag groups.
In the meantime, the Trump administration is playing its part by preparing the ground for a future martial law-style crackdown. Trump’s latest executive measure? Bringing back Department of Defense program 1033, which funnels considerable amounts of surplus military hardware to police departments across America.
What happens next? Well, in my view the next most logical step for the globalists would be to initiate an attack of some kind on a civilian or government target and ensure that leftists are involved or blamed. With the fanaticism of the left today almost on par with the fanaticism of Islamic fundamentalists, I imagine it will not be very hard to find some useful idiots to carry out such an event.
Most likely attack scenarios in my view? Leftist terror groups supported covertly by governments have often gravitated towards bombings as their preferred method. On a larger scale, I would not rule out a failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump. These would be perfect triggers for a wider federal crackdown on leftists, fueling even greater animosity for Trump by progressives and providing a rationale for martial law for conservatives.
For some people uneducated on the finer points of false flag terrorism, this will sound like “conspiracy theory.” Some of it is indeed a projection of events on my part, but all of it is based on exposed programs of past high profile operations by various establishment entities to engineer civil unrest or to manipulate one part of a society to support more centralization and less freedom.
Again, as I have said all along, the real target has always been conservatives. Conservative principles are the primary threat to globalism. In order to eliminate these principles, it is not enough to attempt to eliminate the people that hold them dear. This will only inspire the spread of such ideals; the globalists would achieve the opposite effect they desire. Therefore, they need to manipulate conservatives into voluntarily abandoning those principles of constitutional liberty and limited government. Conservatives must be made into tyrants. Only then will conservatives principles truly die out.
Leftist groups like Antifa are meant as a catalyst for this transition. They will not be the only mechanism, but they will be an important mechanism. As we witness the mainstream turning on the extreme left, the temptation will be to assume victory — that we have won and that the fighting will soon be over. Nothing could be further from reality. Antifa is not going away, it is merely changing into something worse; something more useful to globalists like Soros. If we find ourselves distracted from Constitutionalism and our pursuit of the globalists by this new and more violent incarnation, it will be conservatives, not leftists, that will end up becoming the pinnacle threat to our own ideals.

They have solid allies in the predominantly liberal mainstream media, who have long suggested that not keeping Obama's dubiously constitutional order was racist, bigoted, insensitive, mean and cruel.
Since Trump took office on Jan. 20, the media and Democrats generally thought they had warned Trump off. Months passed, and Trump seemed fearful of a possible backlash if he rescinded DACA. But on Tuesday, with court challenges looming, Trump revoked DACA and gave Congress six months to pass a law replacing the program.
It shouldn't be too much to expect the legislative branch to do what the legislative branch is supposed to do. And it's important to remember, as LifeZette contributor Eddie Zipperer tweeted, not one DACA recipient is likely to be deported (just as they were not before 2012).
Yet, Trump critics blamed Trump for the mess left by Obama, and labeled his action "cruel."
The reactions from the media and activists were, predictably, hysterical.

As the DACA decision approached and reports indicated Trump would terminate the program, Sam Stein, politics editor of The Daily Beast, tweeted out a request for DACA recipients who voted for Trump to contact him.
"If you're a DACA recipient who voted for Trump (if such a person exists), I'd like to hear from you. Seriously," Stein tweeted Sunday evening.
But there was a problem with that: Illegal immigrants and noncitizens, even those protected under DACA, cannot vote in federal elections. Not legally.
Stein deleted the tweet and admitted to LifeZette late Tuesday it was a "brain fart." He also noted the tweet was made on Sunday night, before Trump's decision on Tuesday.
Joy Behar, the former co-host of "The View," said Trump was instituting racist policies, a frequent refrain from the Left.
“Because none of these kids — or people or whatever ages they are — from Sweden or Norway," Behar said Tuesday. "They're all from these brown — so-called brown countries. Brown people who are not white — nonwhite people. So there's racism involved here, and why don't they just admit it?"
Jennifer Rubin, supposedly the conservative blogger for The Washington Post, displayed her trademark anti-Trump snark.
"The only foreign born people Trump 'loves' are Russians," Rubin tweeted Sunday.
Tom Perez, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, went so far as to proclaim dreamers as civic champions for being brought to the nation illegally when they were minors.
Perez told Univision that "dreamers are not criminals, they are heroes."
CNN's Jim Acosta, who has become the most over-the-top Trump critic in the White House press corps, said nothing less than that the American dream was threatened by the president.
"Wolf, the dream is in danger tonight," Acosta told CNN anchorman Wolf Blitzer.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel perhaps had the most bizarre reaction. Emanuel declared Chicago a "Trump-free zone." The Windy City is open to illegal immigrants, however. The city is a "sanctuary city," meaning police and city officials do not communicate with federal officials about the immigration status of criminal suspects.
