Candace Owens: Not surprising Dems smeared me given their long history of racism

Candace Owens said the hearing on race where she testified earlier this week was a “farce” and not really a hearing but an “opening salvo of the Democrats’ 2020 election strategy” of getting minorities to the polls through fear and bribery — and that it’s not too surprising that Democrats tried to smear her given their party’s long history of racism in America.
“It was a cynical, condescending attempt to mislead black voters, and while the Democrats had a whole panel of left-wing identity politics activists and social media executives to help them, only Zionist Organization of America leader Mort Klein and I were on hand to counter their deceptions,” Owens wrote in a column for the Daily Caller on Friday.

Owens was testifying at a hearing on hate crimes before the now Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday in her capacity as communications director of Turning Point USA when she stood up to Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) in the now-famous exchange that is one of the most-watched C-Span videos in history.
Lieu had held up his phone, while seated at the dais, that was playing a clip of Owens seeming to praise Adolf Hitler. But the clip didn’t get it right.
“I think it’s pretty apparent that Mr. Lieu believes that black people are stupid and will not pursue the full clip in its entirety,” Owens said, addressing the chairman, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY).

Nadler banged his gavel and reprimanded her, saying, “..a witness may not refer to a member of the committee as stupid.”
“I didn’t refer to him as stupid,” Owens shot back. “That’s not what I said at all. You didn’t listen to what I said.”
Nadler shrugged and Owens turned to Lieu, calling his deceptive editing of the clip of her “unbelievably dishonest” and saying it should tell us a lot about people trying to “drum up narratives” as they do against President Donald Trump.

Owens had turned the tables on Democrats from the start, telling members of the committee that she loves fellow black Americans so much that she is willing to fall on her sword “a thousand times” to help them wake up and realize they are being “lied to, abused and used” by the Democratic Party.
In the Daily Caller column, she wrote that the Democratic Party’s “chosen activists” pulled out “juiced statistics” at the hearing that seemed to suggest America is dealing with a “wave” of white nationalist violence and hate crimes.
“When I pointed out how absurd it was to claim that America is somehow more ‘racist’ or ‘white nationalist’ now than it was when my grandfather was a sharecropper in the segregated South, Rep. Ted Lieu put on a serious face and tried to smear me — a black woman who works for an orthodox Jew — as a Hitler-loving anti-Semite,” she wrote, referring to her work for Dennis Prager.
Nadler, she said, “flat-out lied” when he banged the gavel and said she’d called Lieu “stupid” when in fact she had said that Lieu thinks black people are too stupid to go find the unedited clip in which she is talking about Hitler.t
Leftist Rep. Pramila Jaypal (D-Wash.) was “even more outrageously out of line,” wrote Owens, accusing her of “inspiring” the man who shot up the mosques in New Zealand in March.
“That hearing was a farce from the very beginning; all I did was expose it for what it was,” she wrote, pointing out how ironic it is that at a hearing about black Americans needing to be afraid of white nationalists who are behind President Donald Trump, it was Trump and his family who came to her defense in the face of their “race-baiting smears.”

President Donald Trump chastised Democratic congressman Ted Lieu for suggesting that Candace Owens is a Nazi sympathizer. 'I think that's a terrible thing he would do that.'
“Given the Democratic Party’s long history of both explicit and implicit racism, though, it’s hardly surprising,” she wrote.
ESPN went off the rails with this racist attack on white people
ESPN has been taken over by Social Justice Warriors.
You can no longer tune in to the sports channel without some so-called “progressive” propaganda being rammed down your throat.
Now, ESPN just peddled this racist, anti-White story that will make you furious.
It used to be that you could turn on ESPN to watch games and highlights.
But recently, the network has drifted into the political arena.
And viewers aren’t happy.
ESPN dedicated serious airtime to praising NBA player Kyle Korver’s “White Guilt” confession he made in a blog post.
Korver, who is white, stated how the color of his skin gave him an unfair advantage over his fellow athletes with black skin.
What he forgot to mention is that roughly 75% of NBA players are black and less than 24% are white.

ESPN is so dedicated to pushing their “social justice” propaganda, they put the notorious anti-Trump “reporter” Jemele Hill on their flagship 6:00 p.m. SportsCenter program.
That turned out to be an epic disaster, as ratings plummeted.
But after ESPN fired Hill and returned SportsCenter to actually showing highlights, the ratings returned.
The more ESPN wades into the political arena, the fewer viewers they’ll have.
People don’t watch ESPN to be lectured about racism or white guilt.
They watch it for sports coverage.

The video below is just one more nail in the coffin for Rep. Ilhan Omar who has become known for her anti-American and anti-Israel comments. She was an activist in her Somali Muslim community in 2013 when the video was recorded.
In the recently discovered video from 2013, Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar is seen joking about Americans saying “Al Qaeda” and “Hezbollah” in a troubled voice.
She goes on to say that no one says words like “America” that way.
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. … The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up,”… “Al Qaeda” and “Hezbollah.”
“But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity… But you say these names because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.”

It’s beyond troubling that there is someone in our government who is mocking Americans for being fearful of terrorist groups.
The Somali refugee was an activist in her community when she mocked Americans.
It’s pretty unbelievable that Omar is mocking the very people who rescued her from the refugee camp she was supposedly suffering under.

President Donald Trump threatened Friday to send more illegal immigrants to Democrat-run sanctuary cities if they failed to change the existing immigration and asylum laws.
He told a group of reporters that he was “strongly looking at” the idea after visiting Texas and California and the border, where his administration was constructing new physical barriers.
“If they don’t agree, we might as well do what they always say they want. We’ll bring in the illegals … we’ll bring them to sanctuary city areas, and let that particular area take care of it,” Trump said. “Whether it’s a state or whatever it might be. California certainly is always saying they want more people in their statuary cities, well we’ll give them more people, we can give them a lot. We can give them an unlimited supply.”
The president commented on the border crisis after hosting an event at the White House to promote the growth of 5G networks.
Trump mocked Democrats for insisting that his administration let migrants and illegal immigrants in, rather than deporting them.
“They always seem to have open arms,” Trump said. “Let’s see if they have open arms.”
Trump said the “horrible old fashioned laws” made it impossible to detain illegals longer than 20 days, adding that the current asylum laws were “absolutely insane.”
Trump specifically referred to the Governor of California, who welcomed more refugees and illegals.
“We’ll give them to the Sanctuary cities to maybe take care of if that’s what they want,” he said.

On Friday morning, President Trump used his Twitter account to inform his nearly 60 million followers about a story he suggested the "corrupt" media is deliberately downplaying: the indictment of one of former President Obama's top legal advisers, Gregory B. Craig.
"President Obama’s top White House lawyer, Gregory B. Craig, was indicted yesterday on very serious charges," Trump tweeted Friday. "This is a really big story, but the Fake News New York Times didn’t even put it on page one, rather page 16. @washingtonpost not much better, 'tiny' page one. Corrupt News!"
While Trump slammed the media for not giving the story enough attention, all the major outlets did cover the indictment, though, as he notes, some featured it less prominently than others. Most of the mainstream outlets also underscored in the title of the piece Craig's connection to Obama: "Obama White House counsel Greg Craig charged with lying to prosecutors about foreign lobbying," the title of CNBC's report reads. "Former Obama WH counsel Greg Craig indicted in charges connected to Mueller probe," CNN's title reads. "Greg Craig, former Obama White House counsel, indicted in case linked to Mueller probe," CBS News reports.
Craig has been charged with lying and hiding information from federal authorities about his work related to Ukraine in 2012 and 2013, after he had left the Obama administration at the end of 2009. Like many of the charges brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the charges stem from Craig's alleged failure to fully cooperate with the Russia probe.
It is no surprise that the media is not covering the story with the same vitriol as if it were a Trump admin lawyer. But Trump will always take the opportunity to point this hypocrisy out.
