All Gave Some~Some Gave All
*****
From CHUCK MUTH

Who Are Republicans’ Worst Enemy? Sadly…

My longtime friend Rich Galen makes a great point on his Mullings blog regarding the cost of The Wall…

“Remember, Trump wants $5.6 billion for a couple of hundred miles of some kind of physical barrier along the border with Mexico.  We are $22 TRILLION in debt. The Wall represents 0.025 percent of the national debt.”

Rich continues…

“Say you made $100,000 last year. If I said I needed you to donate 0.025 percent of your salary to a worthy cause…you might think that 0.025 percent represents a pretty hefty number.  It’s twenty-five dollars. About two glasses of wine at your favorite watering hole.”

Build.  The. Wall.

Yet Republicans, when in the majority in Congress for the last two years, failed to do so…forcing the President to do it by way of executive order today; a decision already criticized by some of the same GOP members who didn’t get the job done when they had the chance.

Republicans are their own worst enemy.

Funniest joke of the  year...Bill Weld is thinking of challenging D Trump for President…

Maybe he could get Gary Johnson as a running mate…

Trump Declares National Emergency to Build Border Wall — Ready to Take to Supreme Court When Democrats Sue

Will ‘Diversity’ Be the Death of the Democrats?

Will ‘Diversity’ Be the Death of the Democrats?

Patrick J. BuchananBy Patrick J. Buchanan

Both of America's great national parties are coalitions.

But it is the Democratic Party that never ceases to celebrate diversity — racial, religious, ethnic, cultural — as its own and as America's "greatest strength."

Understandably so, for the party is home to a multitude of minorities.

It is the domain of the LGBTQ movement. In presidential elections, Democrats win 70 percent of Hispanics, Jews and Asian-Americans, and 90 percent of African-Americans.

Yet, lately, the party seems to be careening into a virtual war of all against all.

Democratic Governor Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring of Virginia have both admitted to using blackface.

Northam imitated Michael Jackson's "moonwalk" in a 1984 dance contest. Herring, in 1980 at the University of Virginia, did a blackface impression of rap icon Kurtis Blow, who called it ugly and degrading.

The resignations of both have been demanded by Virginia's black leadership. Northam and Herring, however, are defying the demands.

Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, only the second black ever to win statewide office, has been charged by two women with rape. And the demands for his resignation are growing louder and most insistent.

Yet if Fairfax is forced out, while the white governor and white attorney general get a pass, black leaders warn, all hell is going to bust loose.

The Democratic Party of Virginia was already convulsed over all the monuments, statues, schools, parks, highways and streets that bear the names of slave owners, Confederate soldiers and 19th- and 20th-century segregationists.

Across the Potomac, Ilhan Omar, the first ever Somali-American to serve in Congress, and a Muslim, ignited a firestorm last week when she gave this as the reason Congress faithfully votes the AIPAC line on Israel: "It's all about the Benjamins, baby."

The reference is to $100 bills, on which Ben Franklin's face appears. The line is a rap lyric from a 1997 song by Puff Daddy.

Omar was saying Congress has been bought.

The House Democratic leadership demanded and got an apology from Omar for her use of an "anti-Semitic trope."

But Omar now his company in the House. Palestinian-American Rep. Rashida Tlaib, also a Muslim, shares and airs her views on Israel.

The problem for Democrats?

These provocateurs are magnets for media. They speak for a rising minority in the party that regards Israel as an apartheid state that oppresses Palestinians. And they find an echo among millennials on the party's socialist left.

As Thursday's Washington Post headlined, this Omar flap "could forecast a Democratic divide on Israel."

Indeed, it may have already done so.

When Senate Republicans proposed legislation to allow states to refuse to hire individuals or contractors who support the BDS movement to boycott Israel, Senators Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders all voted no.

The four say they are supporting freedom of speech to condemn Israeli policy. But to others it looks like a progressive Democratic blessing for those urging that Israel be treated the same way Ian Smith's Rhodesia and apartheid South Africa were treated.

Within the Democratic coalition, Asian-Americans are now in conflict with blacks and Hispanics over admission policies at elite schools and universities.

Asian-Americans are "overrepresented" where students are admitted based on test scores or entrance exams. Black and Hispanic leaders are demanding that student bodies, regardless of test scores, look like the community. And if this requires affirmative action based upon race and ethnicity, so be it.

The LBGTQ community is now in court demanding all the rights and protections of the civil rights laws of the '60s. This will bring gay groups into constant collisions with religious communities that adhere to traditional moral views on homosexuality.

The minorities of color in the Democratic coalition are growing, as the base of the GOP is aging and shrinking. But these minorities are also becoming more rivalrous, competitive and demanding. And the further they move left, they more they move outside the American mainstream.

The pledge of allegiance this writer recited every day of school, reads: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Today, the antifa left desecrates the flag, as liberals praise NFL players who "take a knee" during the national anthem. Militant migrants march under Mexican flags to protest border security policies. The "republic" has been by "our democracy."

We are no longer "one nation ... indivisible" We have almost ceased talking to one another. As for "under God," added in 1954, Democrats at their Charlotte Convention sought to have God excised from the party platform.

"Liberty" has been supplanted by diversity, "justice" by equality.

But as Revolutionary France, Stalin's USSR, Mao's China, Castro's Cuba and Hugo Chavez's Venezuela proved, regimes that promise utopian and egalitarian societies inevitably reveal themselves to be undertakers of freedom, America's cause.

GOP/Dem Deal Spends 40X as Much on Foreign Countries as Border Wall

A Republican-Democrat spending bill being offered to President Trump spends nearly 40 times as much on foreign aid as it does on a wall to secure the United States-Mexico border.

Though Trump requested about $5.7 billion to fund a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a spending package written by elected Republicans and Democrats funds just $1.3 billion for 55 miles of wall at the border.
Meanwhile, the deal spends nearly 40 times as much American taxpayer money on foreign aid as it does on a border wall. In total, about $50 billion is spent on foreign aid, including:
  • $9.15 billion for international security assistance
  • $1.9 billion for foreign food and hunger programs
  • $3.1 billion for global health programs
  • $3 billion for international development assistance
  • $3.7 billion to support the economies of foreign countries
  • $4.4 billion for international disaster assistance
  • $3.8 billion for assistance for foreign refugees
The $1.3 billion for a border wall in the spending bill is a fraction of the total $14.9 billion budget that is awarded to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency. The bulk of funding in the CBP budget goes towards funding “border security technology.”

A Catholic Bishop put Nancy Pelosi on notice with what he said about these pro-abortion politicians

For decades, the Abortion Lobby has bankrolled self-proclaimed “Catholic” Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden.

But after the radical abortion “up to birth” legislation passed in New York, pro-life Christians are livid, and are raising the heat on Democrats all across the nation.

And what this Catholic Bishop just instructed his diocese to do drew a clear line in the sand.

Bishop Thomas Daly of Spokane, Washington recently wrote a letter to his diocese that ripped those in the Church who support abortion.

Daly said “Politicians who reside in the Catholic Diocese of Spokane… should not receive Communion without first being reconciled to Christ and the Church.”

He also added that “efforts to expand access to abortion… is evil,” and “for a Catholic political leader to do so is scandalous.”

This is a direct attack on Democrats who proclaim to be “Catholic” but support abortion.

Daly points out that in no way is Catholicism reconcilable with the evil of abortion.

The National Catholic Register writes:

When Father Bob Dunn read the headlines sparked by his friend Spokane Bishop Tom Daly’s strong corrective for Catholic politicians who promote abortion rights, the New York City priest told his friends, “This is the type of witness we need.”

“Politicians who reside in the Catholic Diocese of Spokane, and who obstinately persevere in their public support for abortion, should not receive Communion without first being reconciled to Christ and the Church,” Bishop Thomas Daly wrote in a Feb. 1 letter to his diocese that referenced Canon 915 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law.

“Efforts to expand access to abortion, allowing murder of children up to the moment of birth, is evil,” added Bishop Daly. “For a Catholic political leader to do so is scandalous.”

Bishop Daly, 58, released his indictment of pro-abortion Catholic lawmakers just days after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Catholic, signed a bill that allowed abortions through nine months of pregnancy.

These Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Tim Kaine, and many others, are spitting in the face of Catholicism.

One one hand they claim to be Catholic, but on the other hand they support the murder of innocent babies.

One can’t say they trust Christ and His Word, and then turn a blind eye to the horrors of abortion.

And Daly is setting a great example for other Catholic clergy and Christian leaders to follow.

The reality is, for far too long Christians have failed to hold accountable politicians who are propped up by the abortion industry.

But with the latest abortion up-to-birth laws that have passed in New York, and similar laws being proposed in Virginia, Rhode Island, New Mexico and more, the pro-life movement is starting to see public opinion sway their direction.

Just like Daly, millions of Americans are disgusted with these laws that give no regard to the sanctity of life.

And it just might be the push in the court of public opinion the pro-life movement needs to see Roe v. Wade overturned.

Do you think Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and other pro-abortion Catholic politicians should be denied Communion until they repent?

Trump has up to $21 billion to use for emergency wall building

President Trump has a pool of roughly $21 billion in military construction funds he can use to build the border wall by emergency declaration, congressional aides said Thursday — though much of that is already destined for other projects that would have to be put on hold.

The White House said Thursday that the president will follow through on his threat to declare an emergency and use the Pentagon to build fencing, going around a Congress that just denied him most of the money he had sought.

“President Trump will sign the government funding bill, and as he has stated before, he will also take other executive action — including a national emergency — to ensure we stop the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border,” said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Details on the plans were scarce, though. It wasn’t clear how much money he would need, where he would build the wall, whether he will use new designs, or whether he’ll be able to overcome private property and environmental hurdles.

Mr. Trump also will face myriad lawsuits, and will also have to survive an attempt by Congress to overturn his emergency declaration.

“Make no mistake — Congress will defend our constitutional authorities in every way that we can,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck E. Schumer.

The president had teased an emergency declaration for months, though he said he’d rather have Congress cooperate on trying to find a funding agreement.

Instead Congress, in a new deal this week, gave him only about a quarter of the money he asked for — and added insult to injury by placing numerous restrictions on where he can build, what he can build, and when he can build.

His emergency powers could circumvent all of that.

Foremost, it gives him access to money Congress already approved in the Pentagon’s military construction budget. Roughly $10 billion is available in this fiscal year’s budget, and another roughly $11 billion is available in unobligated funds from the past five years’ military construction budgets.

The money has generally been designated for specific projects but the funds so far have not been awarded and no contracts signed, congressional aides said.

In some cases, pulling those funds could, in theory, result in half-completed facilities, if, for example, contracts have been signed for one portion of a construction project but not another.

“He’s free to spend it without a vote from Congress,” a congressional aide said. “He has to notify Congress of what he’s done but he doesn’t have to come to Congress to do it.”

In addition to the $21 billion, another $800 million in counter-drug money is also immediately available, aides said.

As for the suddenly unfunded projects, congressional aides said they will have to “start anew” and Congress would have to specifically appropriate new money for those projects in the upcoming budget.

The White House insisted it is on firm legal footing for an emergency declaration, though Ms. Sanders said there shouldn’t be any.

“The president’s doing his job. Congress should do theirs,” she said.

Just as important will be surviving an expected vote in Congress.

Under the National Emergencies Act, Congress can try to pass a resolution disapproving of his declaration.

To pass it takes just a majority vote in each chamber, but Mr. Trump can veto that move, and it would take two-thirds votes in each chamber to override him.

Some prominent Republican senators said they might vote against the president.

“We have a crisis at our southern border, but no crisis justifies violating the Constitution,” said Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican.

Sen. Rand Paul called the declaration “extra constitutional.”

But even if there are enough votes to overturn the president in the Senate, getting a two-thirds vote in the House could be tough.

Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy last week said there will be enough Republicans backing Mr. Trump to sustain him

Mike Pence Warns About New ‘Holocaust’ Being Planned by Iran
By Randy DeSoto

Iran seeks to unleash “another Holocaust” against the Jewish people by erasing Israel from the map, Vice President Mike Pence warned on Thursday.

“From the dark years of Nazi occupation, the people of Poland know all too well that anti-Semitism is not just wrong; it’s evil,” Pence said at a conference for European and Middle Eastern leaders in Warsaw. “And anti-Semitism must be confronted, wherever and whenever it arises, and it must be universally condemned.”

“But beyond its hateful rhetoric, the Iranian regime openly advocates another Holocaust and it seeks the means to achieve it,” Pence added.

Iran is attempting to “recreate the ancient Persian Empire” by carving out a “corridor of influence running through Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon,” which would give it direct access to Israel, the vice president said.

Six million Jewish people are believed to have been killed by Nazi Germany during World War II, including over 1 million at the infamous Auschwitz death camp in Poland, which Pence plans to visit Friday.

The current population of Israel is approximately 9 million, about 6.6 million of whom are Jewish.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters before Pence’s speech that “confronting Iran” is a necessary step to achieving “peace and stability in the Middle East,” the Daily Mail reported.

“The three H’s — the Houthis, Hamas and Hezbollah — these are real threats … you can’t get peace in the Middle East without pushing back against Iran,” Pompeo said, referring to Iran’s proxies in Yemen, in Lebanon and in Syria and Iraq.

The conference in Poland was held during the same week that Iran celebrated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Republic.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who also attended the conference, met with Pence later in the day at the Museum of the Polish Jews, where they commemorated the Warsaw Uprising against Nazi Germany.

The 75th anniversary of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising against Germany’s occupation will take place later this year. The Jews also revolted against the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943.

“But let me also say it’s very humbling for me to be here with you in this very special place on this sacred ground, to hear a prayer sung, to remember the heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto,” Pence told Netanyahu.

“To be able to share this moment with you and with members of the Jewish community here in Poland is deeply meaningful, and it reminds us of the strength of the bond between our two people that is unbreakable,” he added.

Embedded videoVice President Mike Pence in bilateral meeting with PM Netanyahu: "Israel is our cherished ally."

“I think it’s significant in that, in this hour of despair, right here on this ground, the young Jewish heroes, with literally their last ounce of strength, withstood against thousands of Nazi troops,” Netanyahu said. “They said, ‘If we must die, let us die as free men and women, and let us save the honor of the Jewish people.’”

“Little did they know that they were actually, in many ways, symbolizing the rebirth of the Jewish people, the rebirth of the Jewish state, which was soon to come, and the rebirth of the Jewish army that protects now the Jewish future,” he further stated.

Their meeting also occurred in the same week as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and fellow Democratic leaders in Congress rebuked their colleague Rep. Ilhan Omar for sharing anti-Semitic statements on social media.

In a tweet on Sunday, Omar indicated that the reason Israel enjoys such support in Congress is because lawmakers are being paid off by Jewish interests.

In a subsequent tweet, the Minnesota Democrat identified the American Israel Public Affairs Committee as the source of the funds going to members of Congress.

The Hill reported Omar came under fire last month when a 2012 tweet resurfaced in which she called for Allah to awaken people about the “evil doings of Israel.”

She tweeted: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel,” she tweeted.

Fired and Disgraced Hypocrite  McCabe Takes Credit for Russia Probe
By BarbWire

Andrew McCabe is, and has been a loyal Democrat and one who worshipped the ground that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton walked on.

He allowed false rumors and liberal party ideology to cloud his mind, his thinking and his actions.

He believed the rumors that Trump won the presidency with the help of Russia.

After Trump fired then FBI Director James Comey, Acting Director claims he played a pivotal role in the decision to launch a special counsel investigation into Russian election interference.

It needs to be noted that while it has been claimed from the beginning, that the Mueller probe was not intended to target Trump, McCabe has admitted that this was his target from beginning.

Fox News – McCabe details central role in Russia probes, DOJ meetings on whether to oust president – Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, speaking out in a new book and TV interview, detailed the central role he played in the bureau’s Russia probe and the eventual appointment of a special counsel — while reportedly describing Justice Department meetings where officials discussed ousting President Trump.

McCabe, who was fired from the bureau in March 2018 by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions after it was determined he lied to investigators about a leak, spoke to “60 Minutes” ahead of the release of his new book, “The Threat.” CBS News’ Scott Pelley revealed parts of the interview Thursday morning.

The excerpts detail the eight days between the firing of former FBI Director James Comey and the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. After Comey’s firing, McCabe was acting director of the FBI.

“I was speaking to the man who had just run for the presidency and won the election for the presidency and who might have done so with the aid of the government of Russia, our most formidable adversary on the world stage. And that was something that troubled me greatly,” McCabe said in one excerpt, referring to a phone call he had with Trump on May 10, 2017…

If Russia is such a huge enemy and danger in McCabe’s mind, then where was he when Obama sold 20% of America’s uranium to Russia?

Where was McCabe when Obama was caught on a live microphone, telling then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to just wait until his second term when he would free to do whatever he wanted?

Where was McCabe when Hillary Clinton approved the sale of the uranium to Russia?

Where was McCabe when the Russian oligarch involved in the Uranium One deal, donated millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation within months of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton giving her approval of the uranium sale?

McCabe is nothing more than a blind party hypocrite!
