‘Pretty obvious’: Bongino talks Roger Stone arrest, says there’s one thing that ‘leaps out’ to him over raid

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino appeared on “Fox & Friends” to discuss the arrest of Trump associate Roger Stone and noted that there’s still no evidence of collusion with Russian, before sharing what is most glaring about special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe.

“This is another process crime, where the Mueller investigation, the result of the investigation has produced a crime,” Bongino said. “As a result of the investigation we have alleged witness tampering and failure to produce documents, but there is no evidence of a predicate crime outside of the investigation itself.”

A second point he made is that history shows that Mueller looks to “get out in front” of stories that draw questions about what prompted the Russian collusion investigation to start with.

“What leaps out to me here is, Roger Stone is no flight risk at all,” Bongino said. “He’s one of the most recognizable people in this entire investigation. Why would you hit his door at 6 o’clock in the morning to arrest him with the FBI and not allow him to turn himself?

“Well, the answer is pretty obvious,” he continued. “We have seen this with Mueller before. Whenever there is some major revelation about the corruption involved in the initiation of this case, which happened last night on this network with the Catherine Herridge report, next thing you know Mueller magically — the next day something happens. There seems to be, again here, a rush to get out in front of this story.”

The story being that, as Herridge reported, that DOJ and FBI officials are acknowledging the Russian collusion probe might not have existed without the unverified dossier from ex-British spy Christopher Steele, which was funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign.
The discussion later got around to the impact the Muller investigation is having on people suspected of wrongdoing and that it was launched because of allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia

Yet, there still remains no evidence of actual collusion.

“I have said from the start I believe this Mueller probe is a cover-up,” Bongino said. “I believe the Mueller probe in and of itself was initiated to cover up a lot of DOJ and FBI malfeasance and I find it awfully odd that Mueller is an integral figure in all of this. This case just doesn’t make any sense, we are supposedly investigating the biggest foreign collaborator/collusion scandal in United States political history and yet, still to this day, two years later, despite millions in assets and skilled investigators, not a scintilla of evidence has been uncovered that this collusion actually happened.”

The former Secret Service agent again stressed that the Mueller probe is approaching this backwards.

“We investigate crimes in search of people,” he said of the US legal system. “We don’t investigate people and then find the crimes later. But the crimes in this case would not have happened without the investigation of people. These are process crimes.”

Bongino also noted that trying to find dirt on candidates isn’t illegal and that politics is unsavory, before reminding viewers about all the Clinton campaign’s unsavory contacts.

“They were dealing with a foreign spy who produced fake information on Trump which started this whole investigation,” Bongino pointed out.
