Butch Hartman, creator of Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom on Nickelodeon, and his Speech Bubble co-host, Jace Diehl talk about Butch’s failed TV show pilots. In this clip, Butch talks about his second Fairly OddParents spinoff series, Spellementary School! Set in a magical school, the series would of followed Poof and Foop at magic school, and featured a magic teacher, along with magic markers and spell binders! Butch used the storyboard for The Fairly OddParents episode "Spellementary School" to pitch the idea to Nickelodeon, however, it unfortunately wasn't greenlit.In his latest podcast, Butch also reveals that he had a number of spin-off ideas for The Fairly OddParents, including: A series starring Mr. Crocker and his mom, set before Mr. Crocker ever encountered Timmy Turner, which would of have followed the Crockers' daily lifes; and Dimmsdale Days (or Dimmsdale Dayz), in which each episode followed a different Dimmsdale citizen, such as Chet Ubetcha and Doug Dimmadome. Butch also talks about how Fairly OddParents could of have had many spin-offs, including one following the life of Mark Chang on his home planet of Yugopotamia.
