A New Poll Was The Final Nail In Chuck Schumer’s Coffin

Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are counting on riding a wave in the 2018 midterms.

They believe the Trump agenda is deeply unpopular and voters’ anger will carry Democrats to victory.

But a new poll stopped Chuck Schumer dead in his tracks.

Donald Trump held an event at the White House where he endorsed the RAISE Act.

The bill would institute pro-American immigration reforms such as moving towards a skill- based system, cutting the number of immigrants accepted and making speaking English an immigration requirement.

Trump and the authors of the legislation – Senators David Perdue of Georgia and Tom Cotton of Arkansas – contend immigrants depress the wages of American workers and this bill will give American born workers a chance to compete fairly for jobs and increase their wages.

Democrats howled that the bill was racist and assumed it was deeply unpopular with Americans.

They thought they could run against this legislation in the 2018 midterms and make gains in Congress.

A new poll shows that is not the case.

A Politico/Morning Consult poll revealed the provisions of Trump’s immigration bill were popular.

Politico reported:
“MAJORITIES BACK LIMITING THE NUMBER OF REFUGEES OFFERED PERMANENT RESIDENCY (58 PERCENT) AND ESTABLISHING A “POINTS SYSTEM” THAT WOULD AWARD POINTS BASED ON CRITERIA SUCH AS EDUCATION, ENGLISH PROFICIENCY AND PROSPECTIVE SALARY IN THE U.S. (60 PERCENT).
SUPPORT FOR SOME OF THE OTHER PROVISIONS IN THE BILL ISN’T AS STRONG BUT STILL EXCEEDS OPPOSITION. FORTY-EIGHT PERCENT OF VOTERS SUPPORT REDUCING THE NUMBER OF LEGAL IMMIGRANTS BY HALF OVER THE NEXT DECADE, COMPARED TO 39 PERCENT WHO OPPOSE THAT. ON WHAT MILLER CALLED “UNLIMITED FAMILY CHAIN MIGRATION,” 45 PERCENT SUPPORT ENDING THE ABILITY FOR U.S. CITIZENS AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS TO PETITION TO GET EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS GREEN CARDS, WHILE 39 PERCENT OPPOSE ENDING THAT.
BY SIGNING UP YOU AGREE TO RECEIVE EMAIL NEWSLETTERS OR ALERTS FROM POLITICO. YOU CAN UNSUBSCRIBE AT ANY TIME.
AS FOR ENGLISH-LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY, 62 PERCENT SAY IT SHOULD BE A FACTOR IN DETERMINING WHO SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO IMMIGRATE LEGALLY.
“EVEN THE MORE CONTROVERSIAL PROVISIONS IN THIS LEGISLATION RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM A PLURALITY OF VOTERS,” SAID MORNING CONSULT CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF RESEARCH OFFICER KYLE DROPP. “THE REASON FOR THIS IS OSTENSIBLY THAT REPUBLICAN SUPPORT IS MORE CONSOLIDATED THAN DEMOCRATIC OPPOSITION. FOR EXAMPLE, 73 PERCENT OF REPUBLICAN VOTERS SUPPORT REDUCING THE NUMBER OF LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, COMPARED TO 57 PERCENT OF DEMOCRATS WHO OPPOSE THAT IDEA.”
STILL, THE POLL SHOWS VOTERS CONTINUE TO BELIEVE IN THE VALUE OF LEGAL IMMIGRATION. NEARLY TWO-THIRDS OF VOTERS, 66 PERCENT, SAY LEGAL IMMIGRANTS “STRENGTHEN OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE OF THEIR HARD WORK AND TALENTS” — MORE THAN THREE TIMES THE 20 PERCENT WHO SAY THAT LEGAL IMMIGRANTS “ARE A BURDEN ON OUR COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY TAKE OUR HOUSING, HEALTH CARE AND JOBS.”
AND 39 PERCENT SAY GREATER EMPHASIS SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE JOB SKILLS OF AN APPLICANT FOR IMMIGRATION, JUST SLIGHTLY MORE THAN THE 36 PERCENT WHO SAY A GREATER EMPHASIS SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE APPLICANT’S TIES TO FAMILY IN THE U.S.”
Democrats and the open-borders donor class have long tried to trick Republicans into accepting unlimited immigration and cheap foreign labor by claiming embracing mass immigration is the only way the GOP can maintain its status as a major party.

But Trump’s election – and this poll – shows Americans want an immigration system that works for the benefit of Americans, and not for the benefit of the donor class or foreigners.

The results of this poll shows the GOP’s path to victory in 2018 is embracing Trump’s agenda.

That’s bad news for Chuck Schumer and the Democrats.

U.S. Army Tells Anti-Confederate Activists to Go to Hell

Several Brooklyn Democrat activists are smarting this week after a firm rebuke from the U.S. Army. The activists, who include Congresswoman Yvette Clarke and (sigh) the Rev. Al Sharpton, demanded that the Army rename two Brooklyn streets that are named after generals in the Confederate military. But General Lee Avenue and Stonewall Jackson Drive won’t be changing their names anytime soon because the Army has rejected their requests for, cough cough, social justice.
Those streets at Fort Hamilton, said the Army in their letter, are named after men who are “an inextricable part of our military history.” As such, they will continue to be memorialized, no matter how bent of out shape it makes a handful of politicians with nothing better to do with their time.
“After over a century, any effort to rename memorializations on Fort Hamilton would be controversial and divisive,” Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff Diane Randon said in the letter. “This is contrary to the Nation’s original intent in naming these streets, which was the spirit of reconciliation.”
Both Lee and Jackson, of course, were proud members of the U.S. military decades before the Civil War. In their time as leaders in the “Union,” as it were, they both served at Fort Hamilton at various points in their careers.
Clarke was unhappy about the response, telling the New York Daily News that the fight was not over.
“These monuments are deeply offensive to the hundreds of thousands of Brooklyn residents and members of the armed forces stationed at Fort Hamilton whose ancestors Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson fought to hold in slavery,” she said. “For too many years, the United States has refused to reckon with that history.”
Please. Sometimes it feels like the United States does nothing OTHER than “reckon with that history.” Is Clarke serious? Nothing else in our national past gets as much attention as the enslavement of blacks. We’re certainly not suggesting that this is an era of our history we should cover up or strive to forget, but let’s get real. The idea that we’re somehow trying to whitewash that history just doesn’t pass the smell test.
Besides, that has nothing to do with what’s going on here. These memorials are not suddenly “deeply offensive” to anyone. They are the left’s latest cause celebre – a rallying point around which they can create a problem where none exists. It’s so much easier to build a “problem” out of straw and then knock it down than it is to actually address the issues facing the American people here and now, in the present moment. And we’re sure it makes for a great donation strategy as well.
These activists have plenty of sway when it comes to Democratic-run city councils in New Orleans and corporate stores like Amazon…but they don’t have any when it comes to the U.S. military. So we’ll enjoy this little smackdown of political correctness for the time being, even if we know that, like Clarke herself said, the fight is not over.

You Won’t Believe What Elizabeth Warren Said About Challenging Trump

The radical Democrat voter base is begging Elizabeth Warren to run for President.
And she has positioned herself as a leader in the resistance to Donald Trump.
So when she finally revealed her plans to run for President it sent shockwaves around Washington.
Democrats were stunned when Elizabeth Warren told supporters she was not running for President.
The Blaze reports:
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has been one of President Donald Trump’s biggest critics, which gave progressive liberals hope that she would run for president in 2020.
During an event in Revere, Massachusetts, on Friday, Warren announced that she will not run for president in 2020.
“I am doing my job every single day. I’m not running for president,” Warren told a crowd of approximately 300, the Boston Herald reported.
According to the Massachusetts Democrat, she is focused solely on resisting Trump’s agenda, although she is up for re-election in 2018.
“We are focused on right now and need to be focused on the fights that are in front of us,” Warren said. “We barely escaped having health care rolled back for 25 million Americans. We’ve got a budget battle coming up. We got a possible shutdown of the government coming up in September. We have an immigration crisis on our hands. We got a Russia investigation.”
Some pundits speculate this is just Warren putting Presidential chatter to rest before she runs for re-election.
Warren is up in 2018, but she is running in deep blue Massachusetts so she should be a near certain lock to return to the Senate.
But she does have opponents.
V.A. Shiva – an Indian American running as one of her Republican challengers – has challenged her to take a DNA test to prove her unsubstantiated claims of having Native American blood.
Warren famously lied about being Native America to increase her job prospects.
And Warren would be wise to focus on her re-election.
In the past, Senators who put the cart before the horse have ended up in ruin.
Virginia Senator George Allen was thought to be one of the favorites for the 2008 Presidential race.
But he lost his 2006 re-election bid and was finished in politics.
Warren is trying to avoid that fate.
But would it matter?
She is one of the leaders of the movement to drag the Democrat Party to the far left.
There isn’t a kooky left-wing position she doesn’t support.
If she was the candidate against Trump, she would lose.
The American people have rejected the hard-left agenda repeatedly in the 2010, 2014 and 2016 elections.
It’s popular now-a-days for pundits to say the Democrats have no message.
But Hillary Clinton explicitly ran on a third term for Barack Obama’s radical agenda.
And it landed with a thud.
What are your thoughts?
Will Elizabeth Warren run for President?
Let us know in the comment section.

Susan Rice Sides with North Korea in Latest Row Over Kim’s Atomic Ambitions
By Andrew West

The liberal “resistance” to Donald Trump has taken one of its most bizarre turns yet, as ex-Obama security advisor Susan Rice let fly a wildly irresponsible idea.
In the months since President Trump was inaugurated, the left has been working overtime to attempt to discredit the Commander in Chief – a dangerous proposition in and of itself.  Much of this so-called “resistance” has focused on personal bits regarding Trump, including the left’s absurd insistence that the President is some sort of supreme bigot and xenophobe.
Lately, however, the “resistance” has become a bit more anarchic and desperate, attacking Trump’s policy initiatives and defying The Donald at every possible political turn.  In the latest international row between North Korea and the United States, however, nearly all are in agreement that Trump will need to act before the U.S. catches a nuke screaming across the Pacific.
“Former President Barack Obama’s National Security adviser, Susan Rice, wants President Donald Trump to accept North Korea as a nuclear power.
“’History shows that we can, if we must, tolerate nuclear weapons in North Korea — the same way we tolerated the far greater threat of thousands of Soviet nuclear weapons during the Cold War,’ she wrote in a New York Times op-ed, criticizing the president’s ‘fire and fury’ rhetoric in response to the escalating tensions between the two countries.
“Rice complained that Trump’s rhetoric was “unprecedented and especially dangerous” and that America would have to be cautious about its response to Pyongyang.
“She defended Obama’s actions in response to North Korea, insisting that his administration put them ‘on edge’ by conducting joint military exercises with South Korea and introducing more economic sanctions.”
That is precisely what this liberal “resistance” to President Trump boils down to:  Opposing him no matter what the circumstances are.
In North Korea we have a maddeningly vile dictator hellbent on wiping the United States off of the map.  This despot has just recently, and quite mysteriously, advanced his nuclear missile technology years forward in a matter of months, and Susan Rice believes that we should allow it to continue that way.
No one, and we mean no one, can truly believe that Kim Jong Un should be allowed a nuclear arsenal except Susan Rice, and Susan Rice’s opinion is clearly nothing more than a dangerous and misguided attack on our Commander in Chief.

Trump's Approval Rate Skyrockets

by: Remington Strelivo

President Trump’s poll numbers are surging.
The latest poll from Zogby Analytics showed Trump with a 45 percent approval rating—his highest in their poll since February.
"The president's approval rating has rebounded somewhat since our July poll,” said the polling analysis. Following a series of disastrous weeks, Trump's approval numbers have moved up slightly, especially among his base and a few other sub-groups not known for their support of the president.”
According to Zogby, Trump’s numbers increased due to rising rates of approval among a number of smaller subgroups.
Among Hispanics, Trump’s approval rating increased from 31 percent to 42 percent since July. Among union householders, Trump’s approval was up to 51 percent from 43 percent, and among voters in the West, Trump’s approval was up from 33 percent to 43 percent.
Trump remains popular with both men—where a majority give him their approval—and Republican voters, with 76 percent approval.
While Trump’s approval rating remains low by historic standards, it’s clear that, as his presidency continues, he’s slowly beginning to win Americans over.

Trump Doubles Down on North Korea: Maybe My Rhetoric of Fire and Fury Wasn't Tough Enough

Trump Doubles Down on North Korea: Maybe My Rhetoric of Fire and Fury Wasn't Tough Enough
Speaking shortly after a national security briefing in New Jersey Thursday afternoon, President Donald Trump doubled down on his warnings to North Korea and shot back at critics who have said his warnings of "fire and fury" were too harsh or inflammatory.
"Frankly, the people who were questioning that statement, was it too tough? Maybe it wasn’t tough enough. They’ve been doing this to our country for a long time, for many years, and it’s about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries. So if anything, maybe that statement wasn’t tough enough. And we’re backed 100 percent by our military, we’re back by everybody and we’re backed by many other leaders. And I noticed that many senators and others came out today very much in favor of what I said. But if anything that statement may not be tough enough,” Trump said.

“The people of this country should be very comfortable, and I will tell you this. If North Korea does anything in terms of even thinking about attack of anybody that we love or we represent or our allies or us, they can be very, very nervous. I’ll tell you why. And they should be very nervous. Because things will happen to them like they never thought possible, ok? He’s been pushing the world around for a long time," he continued.

The President added that his entire administration, including the State Department, is on the same page with North Korea.
"We’ll always consider negotiations. But they’ve been negotiating now for 25 years," Trump said. “I talk. Somebody has to do it.”
Earlier this week North Korea threatened to send missiles close to Guam, a U.S. territory, in retaliation for UN sanctions slapped on the country over the weekend.

Trump says he'll declare opioid addiction a national emergency

Toluse Olorunnipa and Anna Edney

WASHINGTON -- President Donald Trump said he's ready to declare opioid addiction a national emergency, which could clear the way for extra funding and government authority to address a wave of overdose deaths.
"We're going to spend a lot of time, a lot of effort and a lot of money on the opioid crisis," Trump said Thursday as he addressed reporters at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J. "This is a national emergency and we are drawing documents now to so attest."
Trump, who made the issue a key talking point during his campaign, previously received on an interim report from a commission he appointed that called for declaration of a national emergency. The action would give the administration additional funding and powers, such as negotiating lower prices for overdose reversal drugs, according to the draft.
More than 33,000 Americans died from opioid overdoses in 2015, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, or NIDA. Most opioid overdose deaths are linked to prescription pain pills, though use of heroin is growing rapidly, accounting for almost 13,000 deaths in 2015, according to NIDA.
Trump also has called for tougher law enforcement, including locking up more drug dealers after what he said was a decline in drug-related prosecutions since 2011, and more aggressive policing at U.S. borders to stop the import of heroin and synthetic opioids.
Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price said Tuesday the administration was coming up with a comprehensive strategy on opioids that would be presented to Trump in the future but the crisis could be handled "without the declaration of a national emergency."

Fusion GPS Tells Congress To Get Lost
By DICK MORRIS Published on DickMorris.com
Fusion GPS. the negative research company famous for its political smear campaigns, paid ex-British spook Christopher Steele to compile a dossier about Donald Trump's activities in Russia.
That dossier has been unquestionably proven to be filled with fabricated allegations against Trump. But it was that fake dossier that started the entire Donald Trump/Russia collusion campaign that Democrats hope will end up in impeachment.

Pre-Order A Copy Of Rogue Spooks: The Intelligence War On Donald Trump -- CLICK HERE!
Fusion has admitted that it was Hillary Clinton supporters who paid for the dossier, but refuses to disclose the names of the moneymen who made the dossier happen. Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley wants to see the contract with Steele. He also wants to see all contracts and communications with Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lobbyists who met with Donald Trump Jr., at Trump Tower.
But Fusion has just told Senator Grassley Congress to get lost.
After Glenn Simpson, head of Fusion GPS refused to voluntarily meet with the Judiciary Committee, a subpoena was issued. That got Simpson's attention.
Fusion's lawyers worked out an agreement: Simpson would meet with the Committee and would also provide the documents requested.
But that never happened. Fusion sent the committee hundreds of pages of newspaper articles that mentioned Fusion GPS.
No contracts, no communications. No nothing.
Simpson and Fusion's brazen disregard for a Congressional inquiry cannot be ignored. A new subpoena must be issued and enforced.
If Simpson again refused to comply, it is time for Congress to find him -- and Fusion -- in contempt of Congress. That is a step that is rarely taken, but is absolutely appropriate here.
The creation and dissemination of the dossier was no less an attempt to interfere in the U.S. election that the hacking of the DNC. Both tried to torpedo the campaign of an American presidential candidate. And we need to know who was behind both and who was paying for it.
And we also need to know what role -- if any - Fusion played in arranging the meeting with the Russian lobbyist at Trump Tower.
It's time for Simpson to start talking and time for us to  see the documents that led to the dossier.

Federal Judge Orders State Dept To Search Hillary Aides’ Accounts For Benghazi Records

The search for State Department emails regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks received a boost this week when a federal judge ordered the agency to search the government email accounts of several Hillary Clinton aides.

Washington D.C. District Court Judge Amit Mehta, an Obama appointee, ordered State to search the accounts of Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan, Clinton’s top aides at the State Department, in response to a lawsuit filed by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.

Mehta said that the State Department did not do enough to search for all emails it has on its computer systems regarding the Benghazi attacks, which left four Americans dead.

The State Department reviewed the 30,000-plus emails that Clinton returned to the agency in Dec. 2014. It has also searched emails that Abedin, Mills and Sullivan sent and received on personal accounts.

“Secretary Clinton used a private email server, located in her home, to transmit and receive work-related communications during her tenure as Secretary of State,” Mehta said.

“[State] has not, however, searched the one records system over which it has always had control and that is almost certain to contain some responsive records: the state.gov email server.”

Mehta said that the State Department “has offered no assurance” that the records it has received so far from Clinton and the trio of aides “constitute the entirely of Secretary Clinton’s emails during the time period relevant to Plaintiff’s FOIA request.”

Judicial Watch, which has pursued several lawsuits related to Clinton emails despite her election loss, celebrated Mehta’s order.

“This major court ruling may finally result in more answers about the Benghazi scandal — and Hillary Clinton’s involvement in it — as we approach the attack’s fifth anniversary,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said in a statement.

“It is remarkable that we had to battle both the Obama and Trump administrations to break through the State Department’s Benghazi stonewall. Why are Secretary Tillerson and Attorney General Sessions wasting taxpayer dollars protecting Hillary Clinton and the Obama
Administration?”

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulate, at Bergen, Norway
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.
Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.
Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.
Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.
Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of the herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.
Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.
(This must have been caused by the Model T Ford's emissions!)
Remember that this report was from November 2, 1922, reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post - 95 years ago.
