Francis Destroys Leftist Parents Who Teach Kids They Can Choose Their Gender
By HANK BERRIENSpeaking at the end of July with Polish bishops during World Youth Day, Pope Francis made it clear that gender theory that asserts that everyone can choose their own sex is “the exact opposite” of God’s creation.
The Pope also said bluntly that there were powerful institutions which funded the spread of “gender theory” in schools. The Pope stated:
In Europe, in America, in Latin America, in Africa, in some countries of Asia, there are ideological colonizations. And one of these — I say it clearly with name and surname “ is gender! Today children, children are taught this in school that one can choose one’s sex! And why do they teach this? Because the books used are those of individuals and institutions that give money.
They are ideological colonizations, supported also by very influential countries. And this is terrible. Speaking with Pope Benedict, who is well and has clear thinking, he said to me: “Holiness, this is the time of the sin against God the Creator!” He is intelligent! God has created man and woman; God created the world thus, and thus, and thus … and we are doing the opposite. God has given us an “untilled” state, so that we can till it; and then, with this tilling, we are doing things that are taking us back to the “untilled” state! We must think about what Pope Benedict said: It’s the time of the sin against God the Creator! And this will help us.
Marianne Duddy-Burke, the executive director of DignityUSA, an organization for LGBT Catholics, denounced Francis, saying:
The pope is demonstrating a lamentable and dangerous ignorance of a subject that is literally a matter of life and death to some people. What many, including Pope Francis, do not yet understand is that people do not ‘choose’ their genders. A gender is assigned at birth, and some people discover that they were incorrectly classified. … It is interesting that until recently, the prevailing belief was that people chose their sexual orientation. Now, even the Catechism of the Catholic Church acknowledges that there are some people "who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex" and that this is a "deep-seated" reality. It seems that we will have to undergo the same kind of conversion in our thinking about gender.
H.R. McMaster’s Former Firm Funded by Sharia-Ruled Bahrain — Up to 25% of Total Income

TEL AVIV — The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), where White House National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster has been listed as a member for 11 years, quietly took in about $32.5 million in funding from Bahrain, a country whose constitution explicitly enshrines Sharia Islamic law as the governing doctrine.
The funding from Bahrain, a repressive regime with a dismal human rights track record but also an important regional U.S. ally, reportedly amounted to one quarter of the think tank’s total income.
A significant portion of this funding reportedly pays for the think tank’s annual conference in Bahrain, the Mamana Dialogue. The original agreement between IISS and Bahrain to finance the conference contained a clause calling for the memorandum of understanding to remain confidential, according to the document, which was leaked by a watchdog and published by the Guardian newspaper last year.
As a member of IISS, McMaster participated in the Sixth Mamana Dialogue summit in Bahrain from December 11 to December 13, 2009, Breitbart News found. He is listed in IISS literature as being part of the Mamana Dialogue’s four-person panel that year on “military transformation, intelligence and security cooperation.”
From September 2006 to February 2017, McMaster is listed as a member of IISS, where he served as consulting senior fellow. The IISS describes itself as a “world-leading authority on global security, political risk and military conflict.”
IISS has offices in London, Washington, Bahrain and Singapore.
As of press time, IISS did not return a Breitbart News request seeking comment on the Bahraini financing, although the organization already confirmed funding from the kingdom in response to last year’s Guardian expose.
The “donor” section of IISS’s website lists the “Kingdom of Bahrain” as a major host nation, but no monetery amount is publicly revealed. The Bahrain Economic Development Board is listed in the highest category of donations on the webpage – those who provided more than £500,000 (over $650,000).
Last December, the Guardian obtained confidential documents from a watchdog showing IISS “secretly” received £25 million (about $32.5 million) from the Bahraini royal family during the previous five years.
The UK newspaper reported that the Bahraini donations amounted to 25 percent of IISS’s income and included significant funding to the group’s Manama Dialogue events in the kingdom. The funding for the dialogue was reportedly meant to remain confidential.
The newspaper reported:
Confidential documents seen by the Guardian show that the country’s repressive rulers donated the sum to the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) over the last five years.
The documents also reveal that IISS and the Bahraini royals agreed to “take all necessary steps” to keep most of the donations secret. The Bahrain donations make up more than a quarter of IISS’s income.
The Bahraini donations have been used to fund an IISS office in the country, and to pay for annual conferences on Middle East politics attended by heads of state and other powerful figures. The three-day gatherings in the Gulf island state are called the “Manama Dialogue.”
Bahrain Watch, an independent organization seeking to promote democracy in Bahrain, provided the documents to the Guardian.
According to the cited documents, which are fully viewable online, IISS agreed with Bahrain’s ruling family to keep the kingdom’s funding of the think tank’s Manama Dialogue strictly confidential. Those funds amounted to over $19 million since 2011, according to the documents.
IISS has been holding the Mamana Dialogue in Bahrain for over a decade. The next event slated to take place in Mamana is being billed under a different name, the Bahrain Bay Forum.
In 2013, IISS and Bahrain further signed a memorandum of understanding for $3.3 million per year to keep an office in Manama for a decade, the documents show.
That agreement, obtained by the Guardian, stated:
The Kingdom of Bahrain and the IISS jointly recognize the huge success of the establishment of a regional headquarters for the IISS in Bahrain as well as the mutual benefits that such a presence offers.
In response to the Guardian expose, IISS did not deny the Bahraini funding. The think tank released a statement that Bahrain’s regime “expressly gives the IISS full freedom to develop the agenda and invite participants in line with priorities it judges to be important to encourage strong debate on regional issues and facilitate important diplomatic contacts.”
“The IISS for a number of years has received funding from a wide range of governments for conferences and major international summits,” IISS added.
Sharia law, human rights abuses
Middle East Eye, an online news organization routinely cited by major news media outlets, expressed concern that IISS’s partnership with Bahrain could give the repressive regime international credibility:
The kingdom of Bahrain is not far short of being a dictatorship. It does not encourage freedom of speech and persecutes its own citizens, in particular the majority Shia population. …
The concern about the Manama Dialogue, and its surrounding activities, is that they convey an air of respectability to an increasingly authoritarian and illegitimate regime.
That is why we believe it is essential that the IISS should clarify its financial relationship with Bahrain.
The U.S. State Department documents how Bahrain’s constitution enshrines Sharia law, and that in practice the Shia Muslim population faces discrimination:
The constitution provides for freedom of conscience, the inviolability of places of worship, and the freedom to perform religious rites and hold religious parades and meetings, in accordance with the customs observed in the country, and states that Islam is the official religion and Sharia (Islamic law) is a principal source for legislation. The constitution also stipulates that there shall be no discrimination in the rights and duties of citizens on grounds of religion; however, in practice, the Sunni Muslim citizen population enjoyed favored status, and the Shia population faced discrimination. …
During the reporting period there were reports of mass arrests of Shia activists, including clerics, with some allegations of torture, censorship of religious sermons, and the revocation of citizenship of a prominent Shia religious leader and his family — although later restored.
The State Department documented that while the constitution allows for freedom of religion, “there was no further law to prevent discrimination, there was no procedure to file a grievance, and the Sunni Muslim citizen population enjoyed favored legal and social status.”
The State Department further reported on the application of Sharia in Bahrain:
Sharia governs personal status, and a person’s rights can vary according to Shia or Sunni interpretation, as determined by the individual’s faith or by the courts. In May 2009 the government adopted the country’s first personal status law, which regulates family matters such as inheritance, child custody, marriage, and divorce.
Islamic studies are mandatory for all students. Media laws prohibit “anti-Islamic media” in the country.
Bahrain’s human rights climate has worsened in recent years. The country’s courts convict and imprison peaceful dissenters and have failed to hold officials accountable for torture and other serious rights violations, including security forces’ disproportionate use of force to quell unrest. The authorities prosecute and jail prominent human rights activists and political opposition leaders, dissolve political opposition groups, and strip the citizenship of dissidents. Migrant workers in Bahrain continue to confront unpaid wages, passport confiscation, unsafe housing, and excessive work hours.
There was a marked deterioration in the human rights situation in Bahrain in mid-2016, when authorities dissolved the main political opposition group, al-Wifaq, jailed the country’s leading human rights activist, and harassed and prosecuted Shia clerics who peacefully protested the arbitrary revocation of the citizenship of al-Wifaq’s spiritual leader, Sheikh Isa Qasim. This orchestrated crackdown on the rights to free expression, assembly and association undermined prospects for a political solution to Bahrain’s domestic unrest.
Authorities made little progress in holding officials accountable for the mistreatment and torture of detainees, continued to arbitrarily strip citizenship from Bahrainis who have been critical of the government, and subjected civil society actors to arbitrary travel bans.
Bahrain and U.S. policy
Despite Bahrain’s human rights abuses and its mistreatment of minorities, the kingdom has espoused moderation at times and is considered an important American ally. It has participated in the fight against the Islamic State, has aided U.S. defense efforts in the Middle East and Persian Gulf and has been a member of U.S.-led military coalitions. Bahrain is also designated by the U.S. government as a non-NATO ally.
The U.S. Fifth Fleet is based in Bahrain, which affords the U.S. military a significant presence in the region. In 2011, Bahrain dispatched a Jewish woman, Houda Ezra Ebrahim Nonoo, to serve as ambassador to the U.S.
Bahrain has long maintained a tense relationship with Shia Iran, but in official comments it welcomed the international nuclear agreement with Tehran.
McMaster’s IISS Faces Controversy Over Financing
The resurfacing of Bahraini financing is the latest controversy to engulf McMaster’s former group, the IISS.
Earlier this week, IISS re-added George Soros’s Open Society Foundations and another Soros-financed group, the Ploughshares Fund, to the list of donors on its website in response to a Breitbart News request on the matter. Ploughshares was identified by the Obama White House as central in helping to sell the Iran nuclear deal to the public and news media. The Open Society and Ploughshares groups appeared on a previous version of the website’s donors list, but went missing in recent days. The groups re-appeared as donors following a Breitbart News request for comment on the unexplained removals.
On Tuesday, Breitbart News sent a request for comment about the additions to the website and received the following reply:
As well as the Open Society Foundation, we also accidentally removed the Carnegie, McArthur, and James Foundations, as well as a number of governments and corporate supporters, when we updated the page ten days ago. Your question brought this to our attention and the listing has now been corrected.
Earlier this week, Breitbart News also reported that IISS is bankrolled by multinational corporate firms doing billions of dollars in business in Iran.
The business deals are up for regulation by the U.S. government and the transactions are in direct jeopardy by the possibility of the Trump administration further sanctioning Iran or declaring Tehran in violation of the international nuclear accord.
The past affiliation may raise conflict-of-interest issues for McMaster, who is serving in a position of direct influence over U.S. policy with regard to Iran. Already, McMaster has been accused of purging the National Security Council of hardliners on Iran, and he is seen as a leading proponent of the Iran nuclear accord within the Trump administration. McMaster has reportedly urged the Trump administration to recertify Iran’s compliance with the Iran nuclear deal.
IISS has supported the Iran nuclear agreement and defended Tehran against reports it has violated tenets of the deal.
Last month, IISS featured a piece by Mark Fitzpatrick, chief of the think tank’s nonproliferation and nuclear policy program, titled, “Three strikes against claims that Iran is violating the nuclear accord.”
The IISS piece argued that “criticism of Iran’s conduct in relation to the 2015 nuclear deal does not withstand scrutiny,” and that the Trump administration’s withdrawal from the agreement “would not convince other parties to re-impose sanctions, but could trigger a global crisis.”
In June, the IISS’s Fitzpatrick opined that “Critics are wrong: Iran remains in compliance with nuclear accord.”
An IISS strategic comment paper, titled, “Trump’s erratic Middle East policy,” argued that Trump’s confrontational approach toward Iran is “unlikely to lend needed stability to the region.”

Williams admitted it’s the job of the liberal media to “scare people to death” regarding President Donald Trump’s standoff to North Korea.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Williams admits that it’s not his job to report facts and inform the public. No, his job is to scare the American people regarding Trump’s actions.
Appearing as a panelist on The 11th Hour, Williams told MSNBC contributor Malcolm Nance —
“Malcolm, our job tonight is to actually scare people to death on this subject so the talk isn’t as free as it is about a preemptive or a surgical military strike. You know that part of the world. The population centers, Andrea [Mitchell] and the General [Barry McCaffrey] have talked about, South Korea, the Japanese, and so on and so on.”
Mitchell responded by shaking her head in apparent disbelief.
But Williams seems intent on doing his job well. After all, during the segment’s opening Williams’ self-confessed fear mongering was in full swing.
“With U.S. intel saying the North can now outfit a missile with nukes, the President seems to use the same overheated language as the North as he deals with a genuine overseas threat,” Williams told viewers during the show’s opening tease, going on to say it comes at a “low point” of public trust for the White House.
Williams was responding to Trump’s statement that any further provocation from North Korea would result in the reclusive communist country’s total destruction.
“North Korea had best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen,” Trump said earlier this week.
The only person that should be scared by that is North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

US Spy Satellites Just Caught NK Arming Anti-Ship Superweapon

The rogue country of North Korea is continuing to rattle the saber in the face of Western nations — and the regime was just caught preparing for a possible strike against the U.S. Navy.
American spy satellites have reportedly spotted the North Korean military loading anti-ship cruise missiles onto a patrol boat.
According to Fox News, the naval missiles in question are a “Storm Petrel” type, which is designed to strike other ships at sea. They were reportedly placed on a “Wonsan” guided-missile patrol boat on the east coast of the reclusive country.
U.S. officials stated that Storm Petrel naval missiles have not been placed on a similar craft since 2014. The move could be a signal that North Korea is stepping up its military posturing, and is ignoring diplomatic pressure from the United States and other countries.
“The best signal that North Korea could give us that they’re prepared to talk would be to stop these missile launches,” stated Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who has been visiting the Philippines over the last several days.
Officials who allegedly had knowledge of the situation told Fox that the installation of North Korea’s anti-ship weapons could mean that Kim Jong Un is planning another missile test in the coming days.
In either case, it seems clear that the communist government is not taking America’s calls for de escalation seriously.
“North Korea is not showing any evidence it plans to halt its missile tests,” a government official told Fox News. “It’s a trend that does not bode well for hopes of de-escalating tensions on the [Korean] peninsula.”
The gravity of the Korean situation was underscored by a recent vote in the United Nations Security Council. That council voted 15-0 to impose new sanctions against Pyongyang, but it is unclear what actions will be taken if the sanctions do not work.
With all eyes on the Korean Peninsula, the biggest question may be who blinks first: The communist state, or the United States of America.

This meeting prompted former FBI Director James Comey to go public with his declaration that Hillary would not face any criminal charges.
While Lynch’s attorney claims there is nothing unusual about Lynch using a fake name to communicate with Department employees, it provides evidence to critics who claim she felt there was something to hide.
Trey Gowdy could have known about the fake email account during his questioning of Lynch when she appeared before Congress.
Gowdy asked her why it was important government employees use a government email account when conducting official business.
It is often said that lawyers only ask questions to which they already know the answer.
Gowdy could have asked this question with knowledge of Lynch’s deceit.
In New York State, A Surprising Flow Of Illegal Emigrants
These stories keep cropping up in the news often enough that this must be more than a few isolated incidents. We’re talking about part of the Trump Phenomenon as it relates to illegal aliens and their desire to flee the country now that the new administration is in charge. The closest and apparently most attractive destination is Canada, and our rather dubious border control of that much land makes the chore relatively easy.
We previously learned about a steady flow of illegals emigrating to the Great White North by way of Pembina, North Dakota. (Though it turns out many of them aren’t faring much better up there either.) But now there’s a new border jumping hot spot.
Up in the northeast corner of New York State is the unincorporated village of Champlain, appropriately named since it sits near the northern end of Lake Champlain. At the north end of the village there is a dead end street named Roxham Road. Beyond the dead end there is a path through the woods which brings you to the Canadian border after a relatively short walk. And that little street is attracting visitors from across the nation in droves.
Seven days a week, 24 hours a day, migrants who came to the U.S. from across the globe — Syria, Congo, Haiti, elsewhere — arrive here where Roxham Road dead-ends so they can walk into Canada, hoping its policies will give them the security they believe the political climate in the United States does not.
“In Trump’s country, they want to put us back to our country,” said Lena Gunja, a 10-year-old from Congo, who until this week had been living in Portland, Maine. She was traveling with her mother, father and younger sister. “So we don’t want that to happen to us, so we want a good life for us. My mother, she wants a good life for us.”
The passage has become so crowded this summer that Canadian police set up a reception center on their side of the border in the Quebec community of Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, about 30 miles (50 kilometers) south of Montreal, or almost 300 miles (480 kilometers) north of New York City.
Leave it to the Canadians and their legendary niceness. They’ve put up a group of tents out there in the woods to “arrest” the illegal aliens, accept their plea for refugee status, feed them and ship them off to a holding facility in the nearest town. According to local reporting, back on our side of the border the Border Patrol has come by once in awhile and arrested a couple of people, but for the most part they can’t be bothered. And why should they? The article quotes Border Patrol special operations supervisor Brad Brant as saying, “our mission isn’t to prevent people from leaving.”
Exactly. Illegal immigrants are a serious problem, but… illegal emigrants? Most of the ones the AP reporters spoke to were from Haiti and they were in the United States illegally to begin with. Should we really care if they’ve decided to leave and become Canada’s problem? Why on Earth would we make any effort along those lines unless we know one of them is a dangerous criminal who Canada should be made aware of and arrest?
Now that I stop and think about it, perhaps some of that DoJ and Homeland Security grant money that’s not going to the sanctuary cities anymore could be put to a new use. Bus tickets! Any illegals who truly wish to do so could get a free bus ride to Champlain, being dropped off within easy strolling distance of the unofficial crossing. It’s gotta be cheaper than keeping them in jail for weeks on end.

Pamela Geller, editor-in-chief of The Geller Report and president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Raheem Kassam on Wednesday regarding Rep. J. Luis Correa’s (D-CA) painting of the Statue of Liberty wearing a hijab, which he has displayed in his California office.
Geller said, “The art implies that we’re all subjugated, and we are not, and that we all accept it, and we are not. It’s offensive to every freedom-loving American and immigrant, by the way, who is yearning to be free, who escaped the most brutal and extreme ideology on the face of the earth, the sharia.”
Geller also pointed out that she used a similar image on the cover of a book as a warning, not a sign of acceptance, and that Raheem Kassam’s new book, No Go Zones: How Sharia Law Is Coming to a Neighborhood Near You, also uses a similar image on the cover.
“This congressman,” said Geller, “the message is that he’s standing in support of oppression, gender apartheid, female genital mutilation, and honor killing because that’s what that cloth coffin is. It’s a garment of oppression.”
Taliban Publishes Magazine Promoting Jihad for Women
The Pakistani branch of the Taliban, Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has published the first edition of a propaganda magazine aimed at persuading women to engage in jihad on their behalf.
In an opening editorial, the magazine encourages “women of Islam to come forward and join the ranks of mujahideen [holy warriors],” reports the Guardian.
“Organize secret gatherings at home and invite like-minded jihadi sisters,” suggests the editorial. “Distribute literature reflecting on the obligation of jihad, arrange physical training classes for sisters. Learn how to operate simple weapons. Learn the use of grenades.”
The magazine, titled Sunnat-i-Khaula (“The Way of Khaula”), is named after the 7th-century female Muslim warrior Khaula.
Taliban jihadists are staunch opponents of women’s rights. Nevertheless, “the 45-page magazine attempts to depict support from a section of society traditionally despised by the militant group,” notes the Guardian.
“As well as an advice column for would-be female jihadists, the magazine contains an interview with the wife of Fazlullah Khorasani, the head of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP),” adds the news outlet, noting that she is not named in the interview.
The wife of the TTP leader came out in support for underage marriage.
“I ask you why now everywhere there is a hue and cry about underage marriages … We have to understand that mature boys and girls if left unmarried for too long can become a source of moral destruction of the society,” she said during the interview.
Unlike its Afghan counterpart, TTP is mainly focused on overthrowing the Islamabad-based government and establishing an Islamic caliphate in Pakistan.
The Afghan and Pakistani Taliban are affiliated but consider themselves two distinct organizations. Both groups operate under different leaders.
According to the U.S. military, most Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) members in Afghanistan are Pakistani TTP defectors.
Both ISIS and TTP have claimed responsibility for the same attack. Authorities have accused the Afghan and Pakistani Taliban of working with ISIS.

The man who brought us the phrase "nasty, rotty" food has unsurprisingly been busted for corruption.
That's one David Binkle, a former chef who bit and clawed his way to the top of the Los Angeles Unified School District's $354-million food operation, running the Michelle Obama-ordained school lunch reform that was so bad in Los Angeles that the students set up a black market in Flamin' Hot Cheetos as a substitute. His horrible operation gave us that evocative descriptor, "nasty rotty stuff," which got around.
Turns out he was overpaying contractors, taking kickbacks, and billing it all to the taxpayer. One of those contractors, by the way, was Tysons Food, a Fortune 100 company that just incidentally was involved in the teaching of Hillary Clinton, back in her Arkansas days, to become an ace commodity cattle futures trader. Those guys.
It probably should have been a red flag that kids, who cannot be fooled, sounded the first alarm about how bad the food was, compared to the copious praise that came down from the White House on that same plan. Michelle Obama praised Binkle for his newly reformed school lunch program, which nominally imposed his rarefied chef tastes of quinoa, pad thai, black bean burgers, and other chi-chi nouvelle cuisine as a substitute for tacos, burgers, and corn dogs favored by children across the vast multi-ethnic school district. In reality, they were overcharging, overbilling, and under-delivering, with the food turning out to be basically slop. It probably didn't help that it was public employee unions executing the mess. Of course the food turned out to be inedible and detested.
Little kids just don't lie about these things.
It goes to show that the Obama food reform micromanagement plan was nothing but a Democrat enrichment scheme to jack up prices through fat-shaming and to wrest control of how children eat from their parents. Is it disgusting? Across the board. And does Michelle Obama own this Chicago-style politics scheme? She sure does. Look for more of this to shake out as corruption scandals come rolling out about the true nature of that scheme.
Male Prostitute Gemmel Moore Found Dead in Hillary Donor Ed Buck’s Home
Democrats like to keep strange company.
Ed Buck is a top Democrat donor who allegedly has a fetish for taking photos of young black men high on drugs.
That revelation comes via LaTisha Nixon, mother of Gemmel Moore, who was found dead in Buck’s home. The cause of death was an overdose on methamphetamine.
Nixon told the WeHo Times that her son was a “client” of Buck’s. According to Nixon, Buck bought Gemmel a plane ticket to come live in his Los Angeles home in order to perform sex work.

Coroners ruled Gemmel’s death an “accident,” but his distraught mom, LaTisha Nixon, believes there’s a cover-up going on.
Gemmel’s death occurred just hours after he left his family in Texas to join Ed Buck at his Los Angeles home. Buck had reportedly bought the airplane ticket for the unemployed Moore, who started doing sex work to make money.
Nixon said one of her son’s friends, who’s also a male escort, said Buck — a major donor to Hillary Clinton — had a kinky fetish for young African-American men.
This story defies belief.
How does an associate and donor of Hillary Clinton get away with feeding desperate men with drugs and using their precarious position for his own pleasure? It’s sickening to think about. But then, Democrats have never been ashamed to use poor people to their advantage, politically speaking.
I hope the police investigate Buck and put a stop to any nefarious activities he may be up to. Gemmel didn’t have to die like this, racked by drugs and lifeless in the home of a clear predator.
