Profile of a real lady...Irena Sendler
A Los Angeles Times obituary for Irena Sendler described how the Polish social worker passed herself off as a nurse to sneak supplies and aid into (and children out of) the Warsaw Ghetto, and the punishment she endured when she was finally caught by the Nazis:
She studied at Warsaw University and was a social worker in Warsaw when the German occupation of Poland began in 1939. In 1940, after the Nazis herded Jews into the ghetto and built a wall separating it from the rest of the city, disease, especially typhoid, ran rampant. Social workers were not allowed inside the ghetto, but Sendler, imagining “the horror of life behind the walls,” obtained fake identification and passed herself off as a nurse, allowed to bring in food, clothes and medicine.
By 1942, when the deadly intentions of the Nazis had become clear, Sendler joined a Polish underground organization, Zegota. She recruited 10 close friends — a group that would eventually grow to 25, all but one of them women — and began rescuing Jewish children.
She and her friends smuggled the children out in boxes, suitcases, sacks and coffins, sedating babies to quiet their cries. Some were spirited away through a network of basements and secret passages. Operations were timed to the second. One of Sendler’s children told of waiting by a gate in darkness as a German soldier patrolled nearby. When the soldier passed, the boy counted to 30, then made a mad dash to the middle of the street, where a manhole cover opened and he was taken down into the sewers and eventually to safety.
Most of the children who left with Sendler’s group were taken into Roman Catholic convents, orphanages and homes and given non-Jewish aliases. Sendler recorded their true names on thin rolls of paper in the hope that she could reunite them with their families later. She preserved the precious scraps in jars and buried them in a friend’s garden.
In 1943, she was captured by the Nazis and tortured but refused to tell her captors who her co-conspirators were or where the bottles were buried. She also resisted in other ways. According to Felt, when Sendler worked in the prison laundry, she and her co-workers made holes in the German soldiers’ underwear. When the officers discovered what they had done, they lined up all the women and shot every other one. It was just one of many close calls for Sendler.
During one particularly brutal torture session, her captors broke her feet and legs, and she passed out. When she awoke, a Gestapo officer told her he had accepted a bribe from her comrades in the resistance to help her escape. The officer added her name to a list of executed prisoners. Sendler went into hiding but continued her rescue efforts.
Felt said that Sendler had begun her rescue operation before she joined the organized resistance and helped a number of adults escape, including the man she later married. “We think she saved about 500 people before she joined Zegota,” Felt said, which would mean that Sendler ultimately helped rescue about 3,000 Polish Jews.
When the war ended, Sendler unearthed the jars and began trying to return the children to their families. For the vast majority, there was no family left. Many of the children were adopted by Polish families; others were sent to Israel.
Irena Sendler is often claimed to have been a candidate to receive the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, but that honor was not awarded to her. It’s not possible to state categorically that she was “nominated” for the award, since information about Nobel Prize “nominations, investigations, and opinions is kept
secret for fifty years.” (Since 1974 the statutes of the Nobel Foundation have stated that “work produced by a person since deceased shall not be considered for an award,” so she presumably could not be subsequently honored.)
In 2007, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded jointly to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and former U.S. Vice-President Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. “for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.” (Al Gore was also involved with another significant award in 2007, when An Inconvenient Truth, a documentary about his campaign to make the issue of global warming a recognized problem worldwide, claimed an Academy Award as “Best Documentary Feature.”)
The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) expressed its disappointment that Irena Sendler had not yet been honored with a Nobel Prize:
IFSW sends congratulations to Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on winning the Nobel Peace Prize 2007. The issue of climate change is affecting all individuals and societies and it is a more than worthy cause to help begin the change in our lifestyle to prevent destruction of our planet. Social workers know from daily experience that this is an immediate and pressing social and personal issue.
‘However IFSW is deeply saddened that the life work of Nobel nominee Irena Sendler, social worker, did not receive formal recognition’, said David N. Jones, IFSW President. ‘Irena Sendler and her helpers took personal risks day after day to prevent the destruction of individual lives — the lives of the children of the Warsaw ghetto. This work was done very quietly, without many words and at the risk of their lives. This is so typical of social work, an activity which changes and saves lives but is done out of the glare of publicity and often at personal risk. IFSW recognizes her again and at the same time celebrates the commitment and dedication of thousands of social workers around the world who also bring hope and care to people often living on the edge of despair.’

Wow — Trump’s approval rating SKY ROCKETS
A recent poll shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating skyrocketed in the past month, proof that the mainstream media does not reflect the ideas of the general public.
The poll from Rassmussen Reports shows exactly half of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing as President – up from the lowest it’s ever been at 42% in April.
His highest approval came in January just after his inauguration when he had a whopping 59% approval rating.
Trump cheered on his latest rating in a tweet Sunday:
Trump cheered on his latest rating in a tweet Sunday:
The new Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in the 2016 Election, just out with a Trump 50% Approval Rating. That's higher than O's #'s!
His averages so far have passed the ratings of both former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
According to Gallup, Obama finished his tenure as President with an average approval rating of 47.9%.
Trump’s approval rating is higher than Clinton’s in his first term, according to Newsmax in early June, before the skyrocket.
At the time of their report, Trump had an approval rating of 39.8 percent, according to RealClearPolitics, while Clinton had an approval rating of 27.8 according to the FiveThirtyEight blog.
And while the mainstream media continues to hammer Trump about alleged FBI investigations, it’s clear they are missing the mark with Americans, who, at least 50% of don’t seem to have an issue with.
And even though Trump tweeted about his approval rating, the mainstream media will continue to ignore it.
And even though Trump tweeted about his approval rating, the mainstream media will continue to ignore it.
Katie Frates of Olympic media has recognized the media bias, saying, “This is good news for Trump. No one’s covering this – you have to wonder why.”
But it’s safe to assume it would be too inconvenient for the mainstream media to report on, since it would contradict their months long Anti-Trump effort.

Barack Obama’s Big Announcement Will Make You Sick
Barack Obama’s not done embarrassing America.
He recently made an appearance where he embraced a controversial figure.
And it will make you sick.
Obama filmed a video introduction for rapper Jay Z for the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
In addition to foul-mouthed lyrics where he employs disgusting slurs for women and blacks, Jay Z has a long history of controversy.
While he cleaned up his image as he became a multi-millionaire mogul who is involved in music, fashion and part ownership of the Brooklyn Nets, Jay Z – whose real name is Sean Carter – was not always walking the straight and narrow.
In 2001, he was sentenced to three years probation after he pled guilty to stabbing a record producer in December, 1999.
He was also a crack dealer in his youth.
Carter called drug dealers his “role models” when he was growing up, and when he was 12, he shot his 16-year-old brother.
But despite these run-ins with the law, Obama wholeheartedly embraced him.

The Huffington Post reports:
OBAMA FIRST CONGRATULATED MANY OF THE OTHER INDUCTEES, INCLUDING KENNETH “BABYFACE” EDMONDS, BERRY GORDY, JIMMY JAM AND TERRY LEWIS, ROBERT LAMM AND JAMES PANKOW AND MAX MARTIN.
THEN HE GOT TO JAY Z.
“I LIKE TO THINK MR. CARTER AND I UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER. NOBODY WHO MET US AS YOUNGER MEN WOULD HAVE EXPECTED US TO BE WHERE WE ARE TODAY. WE KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE NOT TO HAVE A FATHER AROUND, WE KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE NOT TO COME FROM MUCH, AND TO KNOW PEOPLE WHO DIDN’T GET THE SAME BREAKS THAT WE DID. AND SO WE TRY TO PROP OPEN THOSE DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY SO THAT IT’S A LITTLE EASIER FOR THOSE WHO COME UP BEHIND US TO SUCCEED AS WELL.”
THE FORMER COMMANDER IN CHIEF ALSO MADE A CRACK REFERENCING THEIR POWERFUL PARTNERS, FORMER FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA AND MEGASTAR SINGER BEYONCÉ.
“AND LET’S FACE IT,” HE SAID. “WE BOTH HAVE WIVES WHO ARE SIGNIFICANTLY MORE POPULAR THAN WE ARE.”
OBAMA ALSO SPOKE OF LISTENING TO JAY Z’S MUSIC THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER, FROM HIS EARLY DAYS AS A STATE SENATOR TO PREPARING HIS FINAL STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS.
“I’M PRETTY SURE I’M STILL THE ONLY PRESIDENT TO LISTEN TO JAY Z’S MUSIC IN THE OVAL OFFICE,” HE SAID. “THAT MAY CHANGE AT SOME POINT, BUT I’M PRETTY SURE THAT’S TRUE NOW.”

20 Phoenix Cops Murdered Since 1981 — 7 by Illegal Aliens
by ROBERT ARCE
PHOENIX, Arizona — The Phoenix Police Department (PPD) has lost 20 officers to murder since 1981 — seven of those officers were killed by illegal aliens. With its close proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border and being situated in the path of main drug trafficking routes for Mexican transnational organized criminal groups (cartels), the PPD and other law enforcement agencies in the Phoenix metro area have suffered numerous deaths and serious injuries to officers at the hands of criminals illegally in the United States. Some of these criminals had numerous previous deportations, but were able to re-enter the U.S. through its porous southern border.
Below is a list of Phoenix police officers murdered by illegal aliens since 1981:
July 1, 1981 – Officers Ignacio Conchos and John Davis were both shot by an illegal alien who was an armed bank robbery suspect. Conchos died immediately and Davis succumbed to his wounds one month later.
May 27, 1988 – Officer Ken Collins was murdered by an illegal alien carrying out an armed bank robbery in Phoenix. The illegal alien was tied to a drug gang.
March 26, 1999 – Officer Todd Atkinson was murdered by an illegal alien suspected of drug activity. Officer Atkinson was murdered after being ambushed by multiple suspects.
September 18, 2007 – Officer Nick Erfle was murdered by an illegal alien during a routine stop for a civil traffic infraction. Officer Erfle was shot once, the suspect returned to where Officer Erfle lay and fired one more round, execution-style
October 25, 2008 – Officer Shane Figueroa was killed by an illegal alien who was driving a vehicle while intoxicated.
May 19, 2013 – Officer Daryl Raetz was struck and killed by an illegal alien driving an SUV while on foot investigating an earlier traffic accident.
Additionally, the following Phoenix officers were seriously injured by illegal aliens:
May 21, 1994 – Phoenix Police Officer Saul Ayala was shot in the face by an illegal alien with a shotgun. The alien had previously been deported and was a gang member that called themselves the “Wetback Power Gang.”
September 15, 1997 – SWAT Officers Jim Kliewer and Officer Jerry Kilgore were shot by an illegal alien who had violated the terms of his probation. The suspect had been placed on probation by a judge even though he was an illegal alien.
December 21, 1997 – Phoenix Police Officer Brian Wilbur was seriously injured when he was struck by a car driven by an intoxicated illegal alien. Brian was attempting to remove an injured animal from the roadway.
March 26, 2001 – Officer Jason Schecterle was severely burned when an illegal alien driving a taxi cab collided into the rear of his police car. Officer Schecterle was eventually forced him to medically retire.
April 12, 2003 – Officer Robert Sitek was shot and seriously injured by an illegal alien involved in an armed carjacking.
October 16, 2007 – Officer Brett Glidewell was shot in the chest by an armed illegal alien who had been stopped for a civil traffic violation.
Robert Arce is a retired Phoenix Police detective with extensive experience working Mexican organized crime and street gangs. Arce has worked in the Balkans, Iraq, Haiti, and recently completed a three-year assignment in Monterrey, Mexico, working out of the Consulate for the United States Department of State, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Program, where he was the Regional Program Manager for northeast Mexico (Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Durango, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas)
Vatican defends new pro-abortion appointee at pro-life academy: abortion not his ‘focus’
ROME, Italy, June 19, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, the head of the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life, has doubled down in defending a new member appointed by Pope Francis to the Academy who has argued that abortion should be legal until “18 weeks after conception.”
Paglia said that while the appointee’s pro-abortion stance is “not my personal position, and much less the Academy,” he nevertheless defended the recent selection of pro-abortion University of Oxford Professor Nigel Biggar.
Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia.
“The nomination of Professor Biggar was directly recommended by the Primate of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who was recently asked to single out a representative,” said Paglia in a June 19 interview with Vatican Insider’s Andrea Tornielli.
“The controversy was born following the rediscover [sic] of a 2011 dialogue between Biggar and Peter Singer’s [sic], who is renown for his permissible views on abortion, in which he says to be inclined to draw the line for abortion at 18 weeks after conception, in terms of — and I quote — ‘maintaining a strong social commitment to preserving human life in hindered forms, and in terms of not becoming too casual about killing human life,’” continued Paglia.
“This is certainly not my personal position, and much less the Academy. It should be added, however, that Biggar, whom we have contacted these days, has published nothing on the subject of abortion — Biggar’s academic focus is rather on end-of-life matters, ‘where he has a position that coincides with Catholicism — Biggar also assured that He does not intend to enter into the debate on this issue in the future,’” he added.
When Pope Francis’ biographer, Austen Ivereigh, tweeted that “having non-Catholics & those with diff positions in Ac for Life facilitates dialogue with world, & makes Vatican witness more credible,” Paglia tweeted agreement to Ivereigh.
Exactly. And our Catholic witness is unshakable. Thank you. https://t.co/yNtBOcoZ7R
— Archbishop Paglia (@PagliaTW) June 17, 2017
In the Vatican Insider interview, Paglia called Catholics “foolish” for thinking Biggar’s appointment signaled that the Academy was no longer fully committed to defending life at every stage.
“It would be foolish to even think of a change. The Pontifical Academy for Life, as specified in the new Statute signed by Pope Francis, aims at ‘promoting and defending human life and the dignity of the person’ through research, training and education (Article 1). We are therefore serving and defending life, from the very first moment of its conception to the last breath. Nothing and no one will ever change this clear orientation. We will go everywhere to convince as many as possible,” he said.
Paglia then said that appointing a pro-abortion member such as Biggar is a way for the academy “to come out.” The phrase “to come out” is used almost exclusively by the homosexual lobby when speaking about those who make a public declaration of their same-sex attraction or relationship with someone of the same sex.
“In this sense, the Academy is also called ‘to come out,’” Paglia said, speaking of Biggar’s appointment. “I would like to repeat that again: We will always be against every abortion practice. And we want to get more and more personalities involved in this battle. There is a need to broaden both the people and the battles. The big issues that mark our time must be addressed together, patiently earning the utmost possible consensus,” he added.
Paglia has come under scrutiny by global life-and-family leaders for a number of scandalous actions, including:
-
Commissioning a massive homoerotic painting in his Cathedral in which he appeared clasped to a semi-naked man.
-
Overseeing the release of the Vatican’s sex-ed program The Meeting Point that bypassed parents as the primary educators of their children and contained sexually explicit images and movie recommendations.
-
Expressing unqualified admiration during a public debate for deceased Italian Radical Party founder Marco Pannella, one of the country’s most notorious proponents of the culture of death.
After news broke last week of Biggar’s appointment, Paglia accused Catholic media of “sensationalism” for highlighting the pro-abortion pick.
Biggar, who was appointed to the Academy for a five-year term, stated in a 2011 dialogue with pro-infanticide ethicist Peter Singer that a preborn baby is “not … the same kind of thing as an adult or a mature human being” and therefore does not deserve “quite the same treatment.”
“I would be inclined to draw the line for abortion at 18 weeks after conception, which is roughly about the earliest time when there is some evidence of brain activity, and therefore of consciousness,” he said as reported by Standpoint magazine.
Then, one year later, when Biggar was the keynote speaker for an event at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, he said "it is not true that all abortion is equivalent to murder."
Paglia’s claim that Biggar’s position on end-of-life matters “coincides with Catholicism” is not accurate.
In a review of Biggar's 2004 book titled Aiming to Kill: The Ethics of Suicide and Euthanasia, reviewer David Jones wrote for the periodical New Blackfriars that Biggar would allow some people to be euthanized who were so damaged that they could be excluded from being called “human.”
“If someone’s brain is irreparably damaged so that he or she cannot think, then according to Biggar we should conclude that he or she is no longer a human ‘person’ and no longer part of the human community. Biggar even describes such individuals as ‘irretrievably inaccessible to human care’ so that it means nothing to protect them from being killed nor therefore (and this is my deduction) to visit, clothe or feed them,” wrote Jones.
The National Catholic Register’s Edward Pentin noted that while it is not unusual for Pontifical Academies to have non-Catholic members who may disagree on issues unrelated to faith or morals, he suggested that the Academy for Life, which deals with “non-negotiables,” must have stricter criterion for its members.
Pontifical academies have long had non-Catholic members; Pontifical Academy for Life is different as it deals with non-negotiables issues https://t.co/4kueKwzKWI
