Calvin Klein’s newest underwear ad stars 73-year-old model

Calvin Klein has enlisted 73-year-old model and actress Lauren Hutton to star in its latest underwear campaign.
Hutton appears in the campaign wearing an open blouse and a bra. In a video , she relates a lighthearted story about quickly walking across a courtyard to avoid advances from men. She says she finally agreed to join one for a ride in his pickup truck.
The fashion house says Hutton was hand-picked for the campaign by director Sofia Coppola, who is in charge of the promotion. Calvin Klein says Hutton has been friends with Coppola’s family for more than 30 years.
Other participants include actresses Rashida Jones and Kirsten Dunst.

Trump’s Inaugural Committee Reports Record $107 Million In Donations

"... one of the most accessible and affordable ..."
By Henry Kronk
President Donald Trump raised $107 million from the events surrounding his inauguration, doubling the $55 million record that former President Barack Obama set for his first inauguration in 2009.

The president’s inaugural committee had agreed to present information concerning its donors to the Federal Election Commission on Tuesday.

Compared to previous inaugural celebrations, Trump’s was not as lavish.

In a statement, the committee said the festivities marked “one of the most accessible and affordable inaugurations for the public in recent history.”

Trump’s inauguration hosted three balls, compared to Obama’s 10 at his first inauguration. The parade was also shortened to 90 minutes. President Dwight Eisenhower’s inaugural parade set a record at four and a half hours.

Trump charged $50 per ticket for two of the balls, and the Armed Services Ball was free to attend.

Performers included singer Jackie Evancho, the Radio City Rockettes and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Trump’s more-modest celebration raised questions about where the cash donated by lobbyists, businesses, corporate executives and small donors was spent. The inaugural committee is not required to disclose a breakdown of their budget.

The committee stated that their excess funds would be donated to charity, but did not mention any specific organizations.

Federal regulations do not restrict the donations to inaugural ceremonies the way they do campaigns, and each president is tasked with managing it the way they see fit.

In 2009, Obama placed a $50,000 limit on gifts and refused to accept any money from lobbyists or corporations. He significantly lifted those measures in 2013.

President George W. Bush placed a cap of $100,000 at his celebration in 2001 and $250,000 in 2005.

Trump, in comparison, placed significantly fewer limits. He declined gifts from registered lobbyists and capped corporate donations at $1 million. Individual donations were unrestricted.

By Rich Noyes, Mike Ciandella
As President Trump approaches the end of his first 100 days in office, he has received by far the most hostile press treatment of any incoming American president, with the broadcast networks punishing him with coverage that has been 89% negative. The networks largely ignored important national priorities such as jobs and the fight against ISIS, in favor of a news agenda that has been dominated by anti-Trump controversies and which closely matches what would be expected from an opposition party.
For example, President Trump’s push to invigorate the economy and bring back American jobs received a mere 18 minutes of coverage (less than one percent of all airtime devoted to the administration), while his moves to renegotiate various international trade deals resulted in less than 10 minutes of TV news airtime.
Eight years ago, in contrast, the broadcast networks rewarded new President Barack Obama with mainly positive spin, and spent hundreds of stories discussing the economic agenda of the incoming liberal administration.
For this study, MRC analysts reviewed all of ABC, CBS and NBC’s evening news coverage of Trump and his new administration from January 20 through April 9, including weekends. Coverage during those first 80 days was intense, as the networks churned out 869 stories about the new administration (737 full reports and 132 brief, anchor-read items), plus an additional 140 full reports focused on other topics but which also discussed the new administration.
Five big topics accounted for roughly two-fifths (43%) of the whopping 1,900 minutes of total network airtime devoted to the Trump administration. But those five topics accounted for a much larger share (63%) of the negative coverage hurled at the administration, as the networks covered each with an overwhelmingly hostile (more than 90% negative) slant.
Methodology: Our measure of spin was designed to isolate the networks’ own slant, not the back-and-forth of partisan politics. Thus, our analysts ignored soundbites which merely showcased the traditional party line (Republicans supporting Trump, Democrats criticizing him), and instead tallied evaluative statements which imparted a clear positive or negative tone to the story, such as statements from experts presented as non-partisan, voters, or opinionated statements from the networks’ own reporters.
Using these criteria, MRC analysts tallied 1,687 evaluative statements about the Trump administration, of which 1,501 (89%) were negative vs. a mere 186 (11%) which were positive.
The networks spent 223 minutes on the battle over the President’s executive orders aimed at temporarily banning immigration from seven (later reduced to six) countries that are either failed states or otherwise safe havens for Islamic terrorism. All three networks showed their disdain by filling their newscasts with soundbites from those distressed by the order. “I feel ashamed to be living in this country now,” one traveler was shown saying on CBS’s January 28 broadcast, while ABC weekend anchor Cecilia Vega said the order had created “chaos, confusion and fear.”
“It feels like a nightmare,” a Syrian resident of Pennsylvania told NBC two days later, after his relatives arrival was delayed by the order. There was no balance to this debate, with our analysts tallying 287 negative statements on this topic vs. a mere 21 positive, which computes to an astounding 93% negative spin.
The next-most-covered item (222 minutes) was the continuing probe of Russia’s presumed role in last year’s hacks of Democratic emails, and whether individuals connected to the Trump campaign may have participated in the scheme. While this topic generated only about half as many evaluative statements as the travel ban, an overwhelming 97% (153 out of 157) were critical of President Trump and his associates.
The GOP effort to repeal and replace ObamaCare received 152 minutes of evening news coverage, with a ridiculously lopsided 94% hostile spin (193 negative vs. 12 positive statements). The Trump administration’s effort to crack down on illegal immigration, including increased deportations, an end to sanctuary cities, and a border wall, received 120 minutes of network coverage, 93% of which was negative (117 negative vs. 9 positive statements).
And the President’s March 4 claim that Trump Tower was “wiretapped” by President Obama drew 97 minutes of coverage, an astronomical 99.5% of which was negative: 189 negative statements, vs. only a single soundbite in support of the President — a man at a pro-Trump rally shown on ABC’s World News Tonight on March 5, saying, “I think there’s some validity in Mr. Trump’s comments.”
Network anchors used the flap to brand the President as an incorrigible liar. “After a string of unproven claims, will this President struggle to keep the trust of the American public?” NBC’s Lester Holt intoned on his March 20 newscast.
Earlier, on March 8, CBS’s Scott Pelley suggested President Trump had psychological problems, asking longtime Democratic official Leon Panetta: “Is it appropriate to ask whether the President is having difficulty with rationality?”
Other topics, ostensibly far more important to voters, were pushed far down the network news agenda. The entire process, from nomination to confirmation, of new Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch received just 69 minutes of network evening news coverage. The ongoing war against ISIS, including the tragic raid in Yemen that killed a Navy SEAL, was given just 57 minutes of coverage.
Eight years ago, the networks’ treatment of President Obama’s first 100 days was very different. Back then, the networks delivered most of their coverage to Obama’s key policy priorities, topped by the nearly $1 trillion “stimulus” package (150 stories, or 15% of the total). The network spin for that legislation: 58% positive, vs. 42% negative.
As MRC analysts calculated at the time, the networks also doled mostly positive coverage for Obama’s intervention in the housing market (59% positive), his decision to use taxpayer money to fund embryo-destroying stem cell research (82% positive), as well as his push for more government action on global warming (78% positive).
“The President’s first seven weeks have been a whirlwind, with often dramatic movement in all directions, on all fronts: the economy, health care, two wars and today education reform,” then-anchor Brian Williams marveled on the March 10, 2009 NBC Nightly News.
On World News, March 1, 2009, ABC’s medical editor, Dr. Tim Johnson, gushed after a forum on health care: “I was blown away by President Obama’s grasp of the subject, how he connected the dots, how he answered the questions without any script.”

The networks also broadcast dozens of stories that treated Obama and his family as pop culture celebrities. “From the moment the Obamas landed in Britain, hand in hand, many here were already star-struck,” NBC’s Dawna Friesen enthused on the April 1, 2009 Nightly News. Covering a European leaders summit a few days later, ABC’s David Muir warmly referred to Obama as “the cool kid in the class.”
Needless to say, President Trump and his family have received no such positive reviews. Instead, the media’s reaction this President has been unremittingly hostile, with aggressively negative coverage of both the new administration’s policy agenda as well as his character.
When the President shares the media’s liberal mindset, journalists are willing to be seen as cheerleaders, shaking their pom-poms on behalf of the White House. But when voters elect a President who challenges the liberal establishment, those cheerleaders morph into unleashed pit bulls, ferociously attacking both the President and his agenda.

ANOTHER Illegal Immigrant Arrested For Sexually Assaulting An Underage Girl

JIM WATSON/AFP/Getty ImagesBY: AARON BANDLER
An illegal immigrant was arrested earlier this month for sexually assaulting an underage girl.
The illegal, 19-year-old Sergio Leodan Morales Soto from Guatemala, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on April 5 after his connecting flight from Atlanta, Ga. was delayed due to weather problems. Soto was attempting to leave the United States.
The sexual assault was reported on April 4 by the underage girl and her family in Marydel, Md.; investigators eventually determined that he had taken a flight from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Because the flight was delayed, ICE was able to board the connecting flight in Atlanta and arrest Soto.
Soto has been extradited to Caroline County in Maryland, where he faces charges of "first and second degree rape, sex offense of the first, second and third degree and second degree assault." According to investigators, "the assault was not random."
ICE told an ABC affiliate in Maryland that Soto was illegally residing in the U.S.
Soto is not the only illegal immigrant to be recently arrested for a sexually assaulting an underage girl. Forty-year-old Oscar Perez-Rangel allegedly sexually assaulted a 12 year-old girl multiple times. Perez-Rangel had been illegally residing in the country despite facing being previously deported.
What makes such crimes particularly infuriating is that they would never have occurred if immigration laws were simply being fully enforced. These heinous acts highlight how crucial it is to secure the border and properly enforce the nation's immigration laws.

Kelly: US Terror Threat Now As High As On 9/11

Kelly: US Terror Threat Now As High As On 9/11
Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly warned Tuesday that the terror threat to the U.S. is “as threatening” as it was on 9/11.
“The threat to our nation and our American way of life has not diminished," he said during a speech at George Washington University. "In fact, the threat has metastasized and decentralized, and the risk is as threatening today as it was that September morning almost 16 years ago."

Kelly specifically pointed to the danger of homegrown terrorists and foreign fighters who have gone to Syria and Iraq with plans to return home.

There isn’t a single state that the FBI doesn’t have open terror investigations in, he said, adding that since 2013 there have been 37 plots to attack the U.S. linked to ISIS.

Law enforcement agencies have investigated 36 cases of homegrown terrorism over the last 12 months, illustrating what Kelly called an "unprecedented spike" in a type of violence that is "notoriously difficult to predict and control."

And the Internet is playing a major role in fueling this homegrown violence, he said, pointing to cellphones as a tool used by jihadists to spread their message and provide "how-to" manuals for building explosives.

"If you are a terrorist with an Internet connection, like the one on your ever-present cell phone, you can recruit new soldiers, plan attacks and upload a video calling for jihad with just a few clicks," Kelly said. "And thanks to new and ever improving and proliferating encryption and secure communication techniques, it'll be a lot harder to find you and stop you before you take innocent lives."

While the US-led coalition has seen "wins" against ISIS and other radical groups on the battlefield in Iraq and Syria, "the expectation is that many of these 'holy warriors' will survive, departing for their home countries to wreak murderous havoc," he said.

Fighters from Asia and Europe, who have been trained by ISIS or other radical groups to make improvised explosive devices and acquired experience on the battlefield, are bringing those skills home.
FBI Director James Comey issued a similar warning last month about the “terrorist diaspora” that will happen when the Islamic State’s territory is “crushed” by the U.S.-led coalition.

Donald Trump on Gangs: ‘They Are Getting the Hell out or They Are Going to Prison’

If President-elect Donald Trump made good on his threat to tear up the Iran nuclear deal, the US would face serious international fallout

President Donald Trump sent a message to criminal illegal immigrants, Tuesday morning, particularly members of gangs like MS-13.
“They are getting the hell out or they are going to prison,” Trump said in an interview with Fox and Friends.
Trump praised his Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly for enforcing the laws.
“I will tell you we have gotten tremendous criminals out of this country,” he said, pointing to the illegal immigrants who were murdering and raping innocent people. Trump called criminal behavior from illegal immigrants a serious problem that he was working to fix.
“So many towns and cities are thanking me because we have gotten rid of a burden that you would not believe,” he said.
On Twitter, Trump specifically vowed to tackle the MS-13 gang problem.
“The weak illegal immigration policies of the Obama Admin. allowed bad MS 13 gangs to form in cities across U.S,” he said. “We are removing them fast!”

The Clintons: Anniversary of the Waco slaughter of 80 men, women and children

On April 19, 1993, the F.B.I. finished off its siege of the Branch Davidians’ home just outside Waco, Texas, by pumping poisonous and flammable C.S. gas into a room filled with women and children, driving a tank through the wall, throwing incendiary devices at the survivors.
Surly there was a better way than to slaughter men, women and children- more than 80. And the Clinton’s managed to get by without any MSM condemnation, blaming it all on his Attorney General who got by without a nick and later ran for Governor of Florida. Waco and Ruby Ridge are what were the sentinel moments in our nation’s conscience. A Government could turn on its people. The story of the shadowy figure called Hillary Clinton and her role in all of this is included.
The Waco siege was a siege of a compound belonging to the religious group Branch Davidians by American federal and Texas state law enforcement and military between February 28 and April 19, 1993. The group was suspected of weapons violations and a search and arrest warrant was obtained by the ATF. The incident began when the ATF attempted to raid the ranch. An intense gun battle erupted, resulting in the deaths of four agents and six Branch Davidians. Upon the ATF’s failure to raid the compound, a siege was initiated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the standoff lasting 51 days. Eventually, the FBI launched an assault and initiated a tear gas attack in an attempt to force the Branch Davidians out. During the attack, a fire engulfed Mount Carmel Center and 76 people.
According to Linda Tripp it was Hillary and not Bill Clinton who directed the final assault on Waco.
Mrs Clinton grew more and more impatient as the Waco stand-off came to dominate the headlines during the early months of the Clinton administration, said Bell. It was she, according to Bell’s sources, who pressured a reluctant Janet Reno to act.
“Give me a reason not to do this,” Reno is said to have begged aides shortly before orders were issued for the final assault.
During an interview in early February 2001 the former White House aide alleged that Hillary Clinton pressured the late Vincent Foster to resolve the Waco standoff. As a result more than eighty men, women and children were killed. Appearing on CNN’s “Larry King Live” Tripp suggested that Foster, at Mrs Clinton’s direction, transmitted the order to move on the Branch Davidians Waco compound, which culminated in a military style attack on the wooden building.
Her accusations lend weight to charges made previously by Special Forces expert and

Waco investigator, Steve Barry. According to the former Special Forces member, Hillary set up a special “crises centre” in the White House to deal with Waco. Serving with her in the centre was Vince Foster who, according to his widow was subsequently: “fuelled by horror at the carnage at Waco for which the White House had ultimately been responsible.”
Foster himself was found dead, from a gunshot wound to the head, in a Virginia park three months later. Could he have known too much about Waco?
Journalist Ambrose Evans-Pritchard maintains that Foster had been “drafting a letter involving Waco” on the very day of his death. Moreover Evans-Pritchard says that Foster kept a Waco file in a locked cabinet that was off limits to everyone, including his secretary.
Prior to Waco, Foster was “dignified, decent, caring, smart” says Linda Tripp; in its aftermath though, she said: “…Vince was falling apart.”
She was with the former White House deputy counsel when the news about Waco broke on television. “A special bulletin came on showing the atrocity at Waco and the children. And his face, his whole body slumped, and his face turned white, and he was absolutely crushed – knowing the part he had played.”
“And he had played the part at Mrs Clinton direction,” said Tripp.
Moreover there was a marked contrast between Foster’s heartfelt emotion at the Waco tragedy and Hillary Clinton’s, Tripp insists: “Her reaction was heartless”.
Her accusations give further weight to allegations first levelled in the 1999 documentary on the deadly confrontation, “Waco: A New Revelation.” The film featured the account of former House Waco investigator T. March Bell. “One of the interesting things that happens in an investigation is that you get anonymous phone calls,” Bell explained in the film. “And we in fact received anonymous phone calls from Justice Department managers and attorneys who believe that pressure was placed on Janet Reno by Webb Hubbel, pressure that came from the first lady of the United States.”

Report: Hernandez Found With Famous Bible Verse Written On Forehead

"There were no conversations or correspondence from Aaron ..."
Aaron Hernandez had a Bible verse written on his forehead in red ink when prison authorities discovered him dead early Wednesday morning from an apparent suicide, according to a report by Boston’s WBZ-TV.

The verse is one of the most quoted in all of the Bible, John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The former New England Patriots tight end reportedly also had his copy of the Bible open to the famous passage, as well.
Source tells @Bward3 "John 3:16" was written on #AaronHernandez's forehead & left bible open to that verse.
According to Business Insider, Hernandez used to read the Bible every morning at 7:30 a.m. with then-University of Florida football coach Urban Meyer.

The coach also assigned outspoken Christian and then-Florida Gator quarterback and team captain Tim Tebow as a “life instructor” to Hernandez, who displayed violent tendencies while in college.

As reported by Western Journalism, Hernandez was found dead just hours before his former NFL team celebrated its Super Bowl victory at the White House.
The 27-year-old was not on a suicide watch and authorities have yet to find any suicide note in his cell.

Hernandez was drafted in 2010 and became a rising star as a tight end with the Patriots.

The Connecticut native, who was serving a life sentence without parole for the 2013 murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, was acquitted Friday of a double homicide connected to the Lloyd case.

Attorney Jose Baez, who represented Hernandez in his most recent trial, had said he hoped to have Hernandez’s conviction for killing Lloyd overturned.

Baez said Wednesday neither he nor Hernandez’s family had any sense the former NFL player was contemplating suicide.

“There were no conversations or correspondence from Aaron to his family or legal team that would have indicated anything like this was possible,” Baez said in a statement.

Bombshell Discovery: (Nevada) SoS (Secretary of State) Goes on Vote Fraud “Witch Hunt,” Actually Catches Witches!
Here’s another Nevada story with big national implications.
But before delving into yesterday’s revelation that Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske has uncovered PROOF that illegal aliens voted illegally in the 2016 elections, let’s set the stage properly...
Back in 2011, Wade Wagner defeated incumbent North Las Vegas City Councilman Richard Cherchio 1,831 to 1,830.  ONE…VOTE!
Now back to the future…
In January, President Donald Trump famously declared that illegal aliens had voted in last November’s election.  At the time, Cegavske told reporters that her office had “no evidence” that illegals had voted in Nevada.  She didn’t say it didn’t happen.  Just that there was “no evidence” to prove it.
Still, critics on the right unfairly slammed Cegavske for not backing up Trump even though she couldn’t because, as she clearly stated, at the time there was “no evidence” to do so.
At…the…time.
Shortly thereafter, however, the SoS’s office announced that two people had been charged with “election-related crimes - one relating to voter registration, and one related to signature gathering for initiative petitions.” Both have since pleaded guilty.
But that still didn’t prove that any illegals had actually voted in and potentially skewed any of Nevada’s elections.
Then came the stunning announcement last Friday afternoon that the Secretary of State’s office had discovered PROOF that illegals did, in fact, vote in last November’s elections.  And the Vote Fraud Deniers had a veritable conniption!
The DMV denied it was responsible – even though it was - and tried to shift blame back on the SoS, claiming Cegavske had signed off on all voter registration procedures.  Which has turned out to be completely untrue.
Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval - who back in 2013 gave illegal aliens “driver authorization cards” - reportedly blew a gasket (in the immortal words of Larry the Cable Guy, he was “madder than Jesse Jackson at the airport having to answer the white courtesy phone!”) at Cegavske’s announcement and immediately rushed to the DMV’s defense.
For his part, Clark County Elections Department chief Joe Gloria declared he’d seen no evidence of such illegal voting – but it should be pointed out that one must have one’s eyes open in order to see.
And liberal blogger Jon Ralston – a loud-mouthed open-borders opponent of photo ID legislation - immediately shifted into hyper-drive on his Twitter feed to cast doubt on the revelation and minimize the damage by questioning exactly how many people may have been caught voting illegally.
Which, of course, brings us back to the Wagner/Cherchio election referenced at the beginning of this column.  As that election demonstrates, if even ONE illegal alien votes in our elections, that’s one too many and could very easily corrupt the results of a race.
Details on the blockbuster investigation were revealed in a press release from the SoS office Wednesday afternoon…
“In March, the Secretary of State’s office obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) a list of just over 100 people statewide who: (1) presented evidence of non-citizenship while obtaining services from the DMV; and (2) completed a voter registration application while at the DMV.
“After determining that 21 individuals from that list voted, this information was given to investigators with the Secretary of State’s office.  Based upon the information obtained to date we have evidence that three non-citizens illegally registered and voted in Clark County in the last election.”
Evidence!!  The Vote Fraud Deniers can deny no more.
And make no mistake; this is just the tip of the iceberg.  The other key phrase in yesterday’s announcement was “information obtained to date.”  I suspect more examples will be discovered as Cegavske’s investigation moves forward.
But here’s the real problem – and it’s a national problem…
The federal government maintains numerous lists of illegal aliens who are living illegally in the U.S. – including lists of children of illegal aliens in our public schools and illegal aliens receiving welfare, healthcare and other public assistance.
However, many government agencies continue to block secretaries of state from accessing those lists in order to verify whether or not any of those illegal aliens have registered to vote and/or have actually voted in any of our elections.
Let’s hope the Trump administration removes these obstructions and obstructionists and gives state election officials the tools they need, and American citizens deserve, to assure the integrity of our elections by making sure no one who is in the country illegally is voting in our elections illegally.
Great job, Secretary Cegavske!
Cheers.

P.S.  I keep missing memos.  When and why did the annual White House Easter Egg Hunt become the Easter Egg Roll?  And when and why did Andrews Air Force Base become Joint Base Andrews?  And when and why did the Nevada Test Site become the Nevada National Security Site?  The PC Police never sleep!
P.P.S.  In light of yesterday’s axing of Bill O’Reilly from FOX News, if you’ve never saw it before, catch this jaw-dropping O’Reilly temper-tantrum (Caution: f-bombs ahead!) from years ago before he joined FOX.  Click here
